KEM RENTAL CARS at Larnaca Airport

Cons: They charged me the rent twice and i have been contacting them for the past couple of days and no refund had taken place, the 1000€ deposit I didn’t receive it till now, i have to wait more than an hour in larnaca airport and no one had showed up from KEM till i called them and then they came to pick me up after me and my wife and 3 years old child waited an hour in the street, the agreed Yaris didn’t, the car was in terrible condition very old with mechanical issues

Cons: KEM Rental Cars did not provided the car for me! Please, return my prepayment of 8.64 Euro. Also I had to make a last minute booking in another conpany and had to pay on 80 Euro more for the same type of car.

Pros: We came to airport at time as booking, but only on next day after 10 calls to rental company we received a car, answer was , “we return money to you, because we don’t have any car” we spend extra money for taxi to our hotel 60 euro, and then 30 euro to went to rental company , that recived a car. I have three children, I it will be probably for me!

Cons: KEM's representative didn't show up when we arrived and we didn't pick up the car. Nobody answered our calls, neither from KEM, nor Discover Cars. So, although we paid in advance, nobody showed any interest in helping us. It was scam by the book, so never again I would use your service and will tell about it to everyone I know!!!

Pros: The KEM rental cars company is cheating company. They did not provided me any car despite I have fully paid prior. No representative of the company was waiting me at the airport despite the fact it was part of paid services. They are arrogant cheaters. I got no car and I have not my money back

Cons: Upon the arrival there was no car available for us at the airport although it was paid! No car replacement or money refund. We spoke with the employee who told us he can not help. He refused to give us a contact to manager. They totally ignored us. We remained without the car and money.

Cons: We had a confirmed booking with airport shuttle from KEM (Larnaca). When I get the airport I couldn't find the shuttle. After some phone call it turned out that despite of confirmed booking they couldn't provide me car for some reason. The conversation ended with "sorry, we have car". They promised me that the money paid in advance will be tranferred back. I am still waiting for that... Rude, unpolite, unreliable. I have never had such a bad experience.

Cons: 1. There was no representative in the airport and no indication how to find the shuttle bus. 2. Had to call them to pick us up, but the number on the voucher was wrong. We took the correct number after searching on internet; 3. Cars were dirty and damaged. 4. They declined the rental (lost 50 Eur) because they did not accept my Visa Credit Card. I use this credit card especially for car rentals without issues. The lady there mentioned it's a debit card although 'Credit' is written on it. NO GO!

Pros: The pick up and drop off was great. The plane arrival time was delayed but when I called them I was picked up anyway.

Cons: The car was not 100% in good condition, but I mentionwd it at return and I hope it is acted upon. Also, the inside of the front window was really dirty. That is dangerous when driving at sunrise/sunset. I left a cleaning cloth for future use in the car.

Cons: Airport pick up - documents said there would be someone with a sign at arrivals. After spending a while looking for this had to call the car hire to come pick us up. There was no one with a sign. Car condition - the car was in fairly poor condition, was dirty on the inside from previous use. Not fully cleaned. And every panel of the car had a ding or scratch on it. The car also pulled to the left constantly

Cons: Car ordered was not supplied. Offered an upgrade for 30 euros which we refused and the car we got although larger and with air con would have probably failed a UK MOT test. To be honest we should have got a discount! Bumper hanging off, number plate disfigured and numerous scratches as well as making unhealthy noises throughout. We don't travel much so took it as there wasn't anything else available. Looking at KEM reviews on Trip Advisor suggests they need to rethink what they are doing!

Cons: -i got a very old, disappointed car, Cigarette Lighter didn't work, cannot to charge my phone, the whole suspension and wheels are so noisy, it was rumbling. fuel consumption was terrible, but it was diesel car!!!

Highly recommend full insurance The rental desk agents at the pick up were rude, disrespectful, and gave us a terrible and slow service. Totally unacceptable. Recommend reading all the small letters on the contract. The instructions for the pick up were not clear

Cons: Initially wanted 50 Euros to choose car. When car broke down wanted 40 Euros rising to 50 Euros to start the car. Angrily accused me of being at fault for the breakdown and only offered to replace the car when it became obvious that recovery was the only option. No apologies made for the inconvenience.

Pros: Great overall service, the car was as all cars are in cyprus, a bit scratched and not as clean as i would expect in other European places, but nether the less the car was great

Cons: By far the worst rented car condition ever. 15+ year old, full of scratches outside and stains inside, with 'check airbag' warning constantly flashing. There was no address in the itinerary, needed to call them to find out. Long waiting for the car pick-up in late evening. The petrol level indicator was not working correctly and at the drop off the agent told us that "she doesn't care" and to go back to gas station even though we filled the car full 15 minutes earlier. Almost missed our flight.

Cons: Car was in a relatively poor cosmetic condition. Aftermarket stereo that was fitted poorly. Brakes were poor. On collection KEM representative stated that the card machine was not working and could we pay the excess of 800 euros - that would have been blocked on my credit card - in cash. When I said no this reduced to 400 euros cash and I was directed to an ATM. When I said no again we were driven to the car rental compound to find the card machine was working fine!! Very suspicious!

Pros: Absolutely love KEM rentals, can't recommend them enough. The guys and girls were super friendly, fun, professional and accommodating. We want to go back to Cyprus just to see them again, thank you KEM crew!!!

Cons: Due to a change of flight plans I had to leave 5 days early during my 37- day rental. I asked KEM to refund me the 5 days rental charge & they refused. I asked to be able to return the car without filling the fuel tank as an alternative to the refund & they refused. I know their terms & conditions state they didn't have to but for the sake of customer goodwill it would have gone a long way. So for the €20-30 they refused to grant me they have lost a repeat customer. I will not use them again!

They are not ready to swap the car even though they have seen the problem. When I ask to return the money then they given another car which is far better.

Cons: On arrival at Larnaca Airport no representative to meet us. Had to phone office and told would be picked up with no apology. No apology from Rep who eventually picked us up either. Couldn’t see car to check condition as it was dark and had to ask for it to be moved. Any dents we remarked on we were told it was just minor. Car was automatic when we had requested manual and were not told this until we noticed when leaving. Payment in Euro not Sterling so charged by bank.

Cons: The pickup information is confusing! We arrived 12.30 in the night and there was no Representative waiting in the Arrivals Hall. After making contact on our pone, we were told to go to the outside and wait for a KEM Shuttle bus. There was only the one Agent working with the paper work and it was 2 hours later that we eventually drove off from collecting the car. There were Customers before us that had problems with their bookings, so it impacted on those waiting to be helped.

They blamed discover car hire and discover car hire said it was kems decision. Overall I intend not to use them again which is their loss as we travel to Cyprus at least three or four times a year!
