Instead, the company will initiate a 1 euro cent transaction to save your card’s details (you’ll still need a credit or debit card as stated in the rental conditions). Locauto is a car rental company based in Itay. The company was founded in Milan in 1979 — and its elephant logo dates to that time. The company began as a car leasing company and added long-term car rental services for businesses soon after. It would get out of the car leasing business and focus on long-term rentals in 1993.
Locauto began its short-term rental business in 2004 having locations in Catania, Pisa, Rome, and Venice. After only a few years, it would have locations at all major Italian airports. Its network was so extensive and fleet so strong that in 2013 it became the Italian franchisee of Enterprise. It would later also be a franchisee for National and Alamo.
