Cons: They did not answer the phone when we called for the shuttle from the airport, then we could not get the car because they said they were closing, the staff member was abrupt and rude.

Cons: There was no usb charger in the car. I hired one that plugged into the cigarette lighter but it never worked properly.

Cons: Absolute bomb of a car. Broken door handles so sliding door not functioning, missing wheel nut, hole in exhaust, bumper ha going off.

Cons: Their arrogant rude money stealing dogs. Extra charges made up things to charge $85.00 late fee on car not due back till due date then couldn't charge that charged for stone chip in windscreen that wasn't noted down convenient $85.00 wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.. Absolutely disgusting service. Car had flat tyres on front of car and only 3quarter tank of fuel. No working air con the list goes on.....

Cons: Nearly everything. Car was broken. Huge problems actually collecting it and then wrong address given for after hours drop off nearly making me miss my flight.

Pros: Awesome service, loving customer service. Our little problem was more so because I rented through a 3rd party. (The right rear backlight wasn’t working when I received the car)

Pros: Lucky rentals is doing great work. Their executives are super friendly and easy to talk to. Cars are super clean, everything was super smooth.

Cons: Two months later, lucky rentals still owes me a refund of $160 nzd for a defect GPS system that caused electrical trouble inside the car. This already disrupted our trip multiple times. That receiving the refund takes this long is simply ridiculous.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, very happy to help.

Cons: The car was a bit shabby but did the job extremely well so if you don’t mind something which is a bit shabby round the edges but runs well this was excellent.

Cons: Overall, the car itself was fine, the cost was fine, and finding the shuttle was fine. But oh my goodness the TIME was brutal. We spent, no word of a lie, 2 and a half HOURS at the rental location either waiting in line or waiting for our car, then waiting even longer for it to get filled up, which in the end didn't even happen because the person went to the gas station without the fuel car or something. I would quite happily spend more money next time and find somewhere far more efficient.

Cons: Waited over an hour for the shuttle (office said we must not have seen it but we were there with several others waiting for it so... No). Car was older than anticipated, pulled to the left if you didn't hold the steering wheel, radio not fully functional, and we were charged an undisclosed $10 "one way fee" which we were told was "for the office". It was a terrible, stressful start to or vacation and I highly recommend using a company that is capable of staffing it's office properly.

Cons: car was expensive considering age and condition. Took $1500 deposit despite paying excess reduction which should have meant I payed no deposit. Money was taken and not returned until over 1 week later and after I had to ring and pester Lucky and my bank

Pros: Nothing. This was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had renting a car.

Cons: My booking specified that I would pick up the car in Christchurch on 1/1. After schlepping my heavy luggage, taking a city bus an hour and a half to the airport, and walking the 4 km to the car rental location I realized their office was not open 1/1 as they were closed for New Year's Day. This made it physically impossible to use the car rental service. As such, I was forced to walk back to the airport with my heavy bags and pay four times as much as I was expecting for a last minute car hire.

Cons: I paid more than agreed to on the contract. It took 3 hours to get my car. Condition of car was poor. had hard time starting throughout trip and I was worried of getting stranded.

Pros: Out of hours service dreadful, Office in Auckland good . The ancient vehicle (285,000K) was an embarrassment but did not break down. The price was good and we expected an older vehicle but not this old. Wouldn't use you again

Cons: The car was below standard for a hire car. Nearly every panel was scratched or damaged in some way. The back bumper was broken and the car overheated and broke down. We tried to ring Lucky but received only recorded instructions.
