Pros: I never got my car because she said my reservation expired even though I booked the car for the day I was there and they had a car but requested I pay $189 US more to get a car.

Pros: The car ultimately worked, but I didn't like anything about their service.

Cons: The price we were quoted online was about $100 for the 5 days, but we were informed when we got to the rental desk that we had to pay an over $300 additional for required insurance. Then there were even more fees on top of that. Also, when we went to check the car, the tire light was on, and they just ignored us when we pointed it out. They had me take a photo of their new return location at the Cancun airport, but it led me to the wrong place so I had to drive around the airport multiple times.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Car was dirty and banged up. They agreed there was only 3/4 of tank of gas but when I got back they had circled it full. They denigrated discover cars saying it would be very hard to get money back if I had an accident with full coverage and I really needed Mex cars insurance. Rude agents.

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: Tried hard to upsell on supplemental insurance. "Communications problems" with my THREE banks on getting the $2500 deposit approved. No toilet at rental car office. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE from beginning to end. I wouldn't recommend Mex to my worst enemy.

Cons: They did not honour the rate at discover car. The car cost me $600. Discover car charged me $100 for what appeared to be no reason plus the insurance that held no benefit to the renter or rental agency.

Cons: We were there a long time going through the paperwork snd despite being told by discover cars that we don’t need extra insurance they would not let us take the car without paying extra so it was double the price This was really stressful We decided to give our car back the day before and got our hotel customer service person to ring up for us to arrange it We got back to the office and they hadn’t waited for us and one person who was just leaving didn’t want to take the car back

Cons: they lied to us and made us pay extra for a better car. Everyone else in the rental office had the same experience. They also tried to mislead me about the level of insurance I had so that I would buy more from them, even though I knew I had purchased full coverage from discover.

Pros: Nothing really...car didn't brake, that's all the good.

Cons: No cars available at pick up time finally 2 hours later gave me the smallest car possible (not what I reserved for 5 passengers), told me I could exchange for bigger car later, 2 hours later tells me they don't have a bigger car and its take that one or leave it with tiny car ( knowing very well there were no other cars available anywhere) Mex rent a car was horrible, rude and deceiving.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1220.00), Theft Protection, Renters Liability Protection (RLP), Airport surcharge, Tourism levy, Free modifications, State Tax, Customer Facility Charge (CFC), Concession fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, credit card, ID card.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Child seat (2-4 years of age), Younger driver fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.

Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information

In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
