On a Sunday she could only talk with an agent, of course she only got a recording, finally I called my agent at home. She then wanted3000 usd deposit. I left without a car

Pros: Nada … esto es un fraude ya que a través de Discover hicimos la reserva y pagamos un anticipo que solicitaban y al llegar a recoger el auto no reconocieron ni el contrato ni el anticipo. Solicite el anticipo de regreso y no obtuve respuesta en Discover y en Mex me dicen que ellos no son responsables y que probablemente sea una comisión ????? Cuidado con esta compañías porque no es posible que Mex sepa que a su nombre reciben anticipos y no hagan nada y no respeten los contratos … cobraron doble

Pros: It was cheaper than others.

Cons: The agents refused to believe I had insurance coverage despite providing proof and the spent more than half an hour calling my insurance agency to confirm. No other car rental place does this. It took me an hour to an hour and a half to get my car. Also, the car had maintenance issues while on the road and despite leaving several messages I could never reach anyone to help me with that.

Pros: When i picked the car, the agent was rude, he told me that i need to put a 1000$ hold and i told him that i dont know about that, i asked him why didnt i do that when i rented the same car teo weeks ago, he replied “if you dont want it the. Its better, less work for me “

Pros: I felt like the rental agents were trying to scam me with their rental insurance pitch. When I informed them that my current car insurance covers rentals they became agitated. I contacted one of my insurance agents and they confirmed that the rental vehicle would be covered under my insurance. The seemed to not like that response and became disinterested in my business.

Cons: The rental agent also stated that my rental would have restricted miles. Where in the DiscoverCars.com agreement it clearly indicates “unlimited miles”. They states that DiscoverCars.com is a third party that doesn’t always disclose correct information to its customers. It seemed like whatever agreement/documents I had from DiscoverCars.com were not even taken into consideration.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: ~€ 955.00 - € 2380.00), Renters Liability Protection (RLP), Tourism levy, Free modifications, Customer Facility Charge (CFC), Concession fee, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 99 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, credit card on a main drivers name. A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of USA - California. In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), 2 credit cards.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off. A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The deposit amount is from 150 USD to 300 USD, depending on the car group.
The deductible/excess amount is 2500 USD.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Domestic one-way rentals are possible on request and for an additional charge.
International one-way rentals are not available.


Crossing country borders is allowed to the following States: USA - Arizona, USA - California, USA - Nevada.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Child seat (2-4 years of age), Roadside Assistance Cover (RAC).

All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.

Additional drivers are allowed free of charge.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information

In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
