Cons: Rental car office hours provided were incorrect. Claimed office was open from 8:30am and it only opened at 9am. We arrived at 8:30am and had to wait for it to open. It then took the agency 45min to get the car. We also learned that although Discover’s information on the drop off was for 19:30 (7:30pm), the office actually closed at 6pm. So we arrived late and had to pay to park for the night and then had to extend a day since we had a tour the next day wasn’t able to return car in the morning.

Cons: Shop location a bit remote. Good service from reception male staff. But very poor manner of one female senior staff who yelled at me to drive the car away while I was familiarizing with the vehicle’s control.

Cons: The agent should have explained that at Porto airport we needed to drive the car to departures, and not to the rental car lot, and that we would need to contact the movyng agent by phone. It would’ve been easy for us to do all this had we’ve been told before hand. Fortunately, we didn’t need to catch a plane when we were dropping off the car.

Pros: We were delayed as they did not have an auto ready and asked us to take a manual which we said no. They also did not have the requested additional drivers on their system despite this being confirmed by email earlier. Finally we ordered a GPS which did not work so got a refund for that.

Pros: Nothing! Replacement car after accident was a lesser car. Not even a proper GPS - had to plug in our mobile and run Google Maps from OUR data. Returning car - was questioned on rim scuffs and door dent that were clearly there on pickup. Lisbon office finally clarified that they were pre-existing.

Cons: Everything. Don’t use this company. Terrible customer service and locations not as advertised.

Cons: That mirror would be lost while driving 40-50 km speed. I refused to take that car as it was putting my family at risk. Only after I started calling the support line (talked to Sophia), they finally gave me a Citroen car that I initially booked. I lost 2,5 hours of my time, my nerves, - just to finally get what I prebooked. Awful experience which ruined the whole day for my family.

Pros: The gentleman with the pony tail was very helpful and apologetic after his front desk collegue totally ruined my day. I almost missed my flight because of her. He gave me a free ride to the airport

Cons: Terrible experience with the front desk lady. She was very unprofessional. Was texting on her phone as she was helping me. Wasted my time. I indicated that I wanted to drop off the car at the airport. She never mentioned to me that I’m supposed to call them in advance and set up a meeting at the airport so that they pick up the car from me, didn’t provide me with a phone number NOTHING. So I go to the airport and Budget people me I have to call them First to meet them. Almost missed my flight

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1000.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Road tax, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
Many highways in mainland Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 1.85 EUR per day up to a maximum of 30 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Administrative fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 24.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following country: Spain-Mainland.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Cross border fee, Toll device.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
Underage additional drivers are also subject to a young driver fee.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
