NextCar is an American car rental company that is part of the NP Franchise Group along with the car rental brand Priceless. The group operates a car rental franchise — it provides the reservation system, branding, and SEO services to independent car rental companies. So when you book through Nextcar, you’re likely booking with a local franchisee. The group is a subsidiary of Fitzgerald Auto Group.
NextCar began in 2003 in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US, mainly the states of Virginia and Maryland along with Washington D.C. The company partnered with Priceless to form the NP Franchise Group in 2017. After this, it had locations at popular locations like Los Angeles Airport and Orlando Airport. It also has a location at Miami Airport — this location has won our Excellent Car Rental Service award. Most of NextCar’s airport locations are not located in the terminals or car rental centers. They are instead located outside of the airport and require a shuttle (provided by the company for free) to reach.
In recent years NextCar has expanded to Canada with locations in Toronto and Vancouver. The company now also has a franchise in Mauritius.
NextCar accepts debit cards at some of its locations in the US. Keep in mind that there may be additional requirements, like having to present multiple forms of identification, if you use a debit card.
