Cons: We were persuaded to pay for the daily cover for excess which we already had under our full cover we had taken out. We said we had the full cover but were told it wouldn’t cover excess but the details showed it did when we checked

Pros: They refunded the security deposit that they took pretty much immediately on returning the car.

Cons: Don’t get the extra cover to reduce your excess from Discovery. Get it direct from the actual car hire place. It may cost a few extra dollars but then you don’t have the hassle of having to pay out and get reimbursed under a different policy.

Pros: It was quick and efficient. The agent recommended the Toyota as the superior choice.

Cons: 1.They tried to impose a 400 km limit months after the contract was signed. It was unethical, especially considering we drove 2,400 km. 2. They never got back to me on my question about where the USB-C port was for connecting to the navigation system and recharging my phone. It was in a very strange place which we stumbled on the third day. The map application was subpar in that it rarely showed the blue line of the route which makes a huge difference.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 615.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax.
Rate excludes
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
If the renter travels through a toll collection point, the renter's credit card will be charged the cost of the toll plus an administration fee. You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Mileage policy
The rental vehicle must remain within 500 km of the following location(s): Perth.
Details are available at the car rental company's reservation office.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 79 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

Customers are only allowed to rent only if they agree to a credit check and their credit score is satisfactory. In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle. If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Additional Driver, Additional Driver, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Cross border fee.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is not available.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 1440 minutes.
