Northern Lights
As heavily hinted at by its name, Northern Lights operates in the magical island country of Iceland. More specifically, the car rental business can be found in Keflavik Airport. The largest in the country and thus the main port of entry for foreign visitors, Keflavik is located about an hour’s drive south of the national capital, Reykjavik.
Northern Lights has a fleet of various types of two-wheel cars from small mini and compact cars to SUVs and passenger vans. The company also offers 4x4 vehicles. If you rent a two-wheel drive car, you won’t be allowed to travel on any F-road (the mountain roads) or Kaldidalur (550) and Kjölur (35). With a 4x4, you can travel on any road except the F-249 (you must remain on official roads, though).
In addition to the normal extras offered everywhere like GPS devices and child seats, Nother Lights also offers camping equipment like gas, stoves, sleeping bags, and outdoor kitchen essentials.
