Cons: After dropping off the car they try to scam me with very very very small spots on the car. The car has run more than 30000 km in total. That was a very bad experience but i did not accept that and become a male ‘Karen’ and and told them that they try to rip-off the wrong men. After a view minutes they accept my ‘Karen’ reaction on there scam. So be aware if you every rent with them. Mind you i rent every month cars and i know the drill.

Pros: Friendly staff. Clear directions provided for pertol station near RentbyCar to fill tank on return and to return car to location.

Cons: It was not clear in material provided that RentbyCar was not at the airport. Could have saved us time if the taxi driver knew to take us directly to off site location. Rent by Car listed every tiny scratch. Took us 20 minutes to point out many more so we were not charged on return. Large RentbyCar sticker on rear window. Many agencies no longer do this so tourists are not targeted.

Pros: Really helpful and friendly customer service. Both the person dealing with our pick up (got a better car than we booked) and drop off (got a refund for the day we didn't use) went the extra mile. We were impressed.

Cons: Pick up instructions should make it clear that you probably need to call for pick up (rather than waiting). However as soon as you've called the shuttle bus comes almost immediately which is excellent, plus staff are very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The price was the best of all those we compared by quite a bit, we got an upgrade free of charge, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the car was nice and very new.

Cons: There were some IT issues on return of the car and it took a few minutes to close off the contract to release the deposit, but it was no bother.

Pros: Very easy interaction, the staff at Rentbycar in Bilbao were efficient and pleasant. The car was in good condition.

Cons: It would have been preferable to have a location in the airport, but rentbycar came to collect me as soon as I called them so it really wasnt that big of an inconvenience.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 750.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 24.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following country: France.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.

Using a ferry is not allowed.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.

Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
