Cons: Hi, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with several aspects of my recent vehicle rental experience with your company. 1. Unjustified Additional Charges: At the time of booking, I had informed your team about my expected late pickup, and the charges for this were already included in the booking confirmation. However, your agent still charged me an additional £75 for late collection, which I find entirely unjustified and unacceptable. Please refer to below term at the time of booking.

Pros: I had an excellent experience with RentSmart24 in Milan! 🚗✨ The service was incredibly fast and smooth — I was on the road in no time. The staff were super friendly and professional, making the whole process easy and stress-free. Great value for money and no hidden surprises. But we didn’t leave immediately. We also had trouble with baby seat. So we changed it for another one, and I had to wait in the line again. So all of this took time

We had booked a car in advance and tried to contact the Rentsmart office when we arrived in Milan Malpensa airport as we were going to be outside the one hour collection window. The phone in the office was not working for some reason. I successfully called another number immediately to ensure my phone was working properly. We made our way to the office to find our booking had been cancelled as we had missed the ridiculous collection window.

Pros: Not much, it was cheap until they charge you for anything they can find whether you caused it or not.

Cons: The damage sheet was covered in about 20 defects but conveniently missed the very edge of the mirror which had a tiny chip in the glass. My 3 minute video of the car also just narrowly missed the edge of the mirror but the agent immediately found it upon inspection and demanded proof to show we had not caused it which I couldn’t provide so we were charged €200.

Cons: - the company offers exceptionally damaged cars and force customers to pay for damages that they did not cause. - extreamaly high price for full insurance per day - their office in Malpensa consists with only one terminal without protection so use credit card might trigger its blockage and then they force you to pay full hi priced insurance as only option for depit cards.

Cons: I would like to have a upgrade when cars are available. We were given a Seta, but last time we had Alfa Romeo.

Pros: Easy communication via WhatsApp, including "check-in," saved time during the pick-up.

Cons: A waiting time during return and we got a Fiat500xl, although booked Seat Ibiza.

Pros: The shuttle to and from the airport is quick and convenient, but it would be helpful to have received a reminder message before pickup via text that you can call the rental to request shuttle pickup.

Cons: car keys were phisically broken and not always working - the pickup clerk saw this but still gave me the keys and the car. You are walking on a thin edge here because if I would've got stuck in a parking lot under the snow for more than 5 minutes, my rating would look completely different. For reference - I got stuck twice during the week because of it - but it was for a couple of mins each time.

Cons: It was hard to find in the airport, and the gate in the email that I've got was wrong (it was gate 17 and not 16 as written). I would add to the description that it's gate 17, in the departures area, and a black parkinGO car will pick you up every 15 mins, and I don't need to call to get the pick up. Once I called, they explained nicely and it was clear, but I wasted 30 mins at the Aiprort searching for it.

Had to spend insane amount of money to rent at the Airport, and yes, using same Credit Card that was not accepted. Girl at the rental desk is most definitely in my top 3 least helpful people I have seen in customer service. Asked agent at the desk what should we do in this situation as it was almost 11PM and hotel 3H away. She just said go back to Airport and left.

Cons: The day of pick up, I called at least 2 times and my call wasn't answered. The taxis refused to take me to Via Del Gregge, 220, telling it's not a valid address without the name of a locality. I had to go there on foot, several km away from the airport. Outside of the building there are no signs of RentSmart24, only ParkingGO.

Cons: Car was damaged previously and when I picked it up it was late night and there is no way I could have been checked everything. On my return they managed to find a small scratch near rear wheel under the car. This looked old scratch. It looks like they know where to look and also try to sell their insurance ( actually inserted).

Cons: If you are new to Malpensa it may be hard to find the shuttle place. The riders of the shuttle, even though quite helpful did not seem to speak english.

Cons: 1. It wasn't clear to me how to arrive to the pick-up offices and where are the offices (not at the terminal but a driving distance) and the importance of check-in before the rental. The check-in online was too much details to provide and that's why I didn't finish it in advance. 2. I had a problematic engine noise in the car without any indicator on the dashboard in the middle of my vacation and the only solution given to me was to go back to Milano to change the car which wasn't practical.

Cons: Returning the car was not very convenient, we waited for a long time, there was only one employee, the car was not very clean inside, when the car arrived at the airport we were not at the airport, then they found us, we had to travel with five of us in one seat, very inconvenient

Cons: The only issue was the insurance, we had full coverage, but it seems this was with Discover Cars and not with 24 Smart. We were told in the case of any damages to the car we would have to pay at least 1000 euros, and then get reimbursed by Discover Cars, and the guy tried to get us to purchase additional insurance with them. I think both companies should have an agreement between themselves about the insurance and not expose the customers to additional expenses or stress.

The representative insisted that we need to pay 60 Euro for replacement PLUS 65 Euro "Admin fee". Completely unacceptable. Scam. Do NOT use Rent Smart 24.

Cons: The car developed a slow puncture. I notified the hire company immediately andput the spare tyre onto the hire car. Upon return I was told I would be charged 395 euros as they needed to change both front tyres . The other tyre only had 9000km of wear. When I got home I received and invoice for 420 Euros + 95 Euros admin fee. This is what was taken from my credit card. I think that rent smart 24 are dishonest and are racketeering. I will never use this shoddy company again.

They said because because I didn’t have an international drivers permit which is bullshit because my nephew has been renting vehicles in Italy for 10-15 years and does not have as international drivers permit and has never been required to pay for the insurance.

We have sent numerous letters to both customer service departments, made countless calls, yet received no response. This left us in a distressing situation with no resolutions or assistance in sight.

This experience has left us disappointed and disillusioned. We hope that you will take this matter seriously and address the issues we have raised.
