Rodavante
As suggested by its Portuguese name, this car rental company operates in Portugal, more specifically, the beautiful Atlantic island of Madeira which is geographically located in Africa. In Madeira, Rodavante, which is very highly rated among its customers, serves the island’s international airport, the main port of entry for foreign visitors.
Rodavante has been offering rental cars on the islands for almost 50 years — it began in 1977. The company has won our Excellent Car Rental Service Award for multiple years for both Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport and Porto Santo Airport, which is on the smaller island that is also a part of the Madeira region. The company doesn’t allow its cars to be taken on the ferry between the islands, but as it has an office on Porto Santo, you can easily just book two different cars for your trip if you plan to also visit that island.
