Cons: Airport pickup

Cons: It took way too long on both ends of the shuttle. In addition, the front desk processes are inefficient. The problems are aggravated by the fact that Routes seems to have a person in charge of the desk who has never heard of customer service.

Pros: Everything was great!

Cons: Routes pre charged my credit card when I booked car. but when I returned car I received final invoice that lower than prepaid. I have not received any money back yet.

Pros: Nothing. Everything sucked. Just use one of the main car rental companies.

Cons: Routes sucks. They will charge you a bunch of hidden fees after the fact. Not worth it. Use the main companies - I promise you won’t actually be saving any money by using Routes - you’ll just be frustrated.

Cons: Electronic contract I missed fine print driving to another state was a 258 fee. I had lunch in another state was only there 2 hours of the 7 day rental. Rep refused to reimburse. I have notified all other employees of my company they are not allowed to rent from Routes I will not approve the rental reimbursement.

Pros: After waiting in an insanely long line, we were at the counter and ready to rent. After all paperwork was done the front desk lady realized no one had checked the car out. She then told us to sit in the lobby and she would do it. The part that blew our mind is she did not immediately get us our car, she instead took other customers in line before deciding it was time to actually had us keys.

Cons: Unless you have all day to waste, I would stay away from this “not exactly” company. There is many other companies that deserve your business over them.

Cons: They lied to me at the desk when I was picking up the car; I told the agent I was taking the car out of state for one day, and she said I'd be charged for the days I was taking it out of state. I was later billed for 3 days of OOS charges, and they refused to refund/adjust it.

They did say insurance coverage would be $11 more per day which I accepted. I wish they did a better job of each fee line item they were going to charge. Pick up from the airport took a little longer than we liked. After an uncomfortable slight, we'd like better pick up times. One shuttle maybe this is hard. Will consider closer car rental next time.

Cons: A very unusual policy of giving you a car without a full tank of gas when you pick up your rental. My car had only a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up. They didn't inform me of this and I had to drive back to the car rental facility (since they don't pick up their phone) to find out that this was intentional. They asked me to bring it back at the same level. The policy seems designed to either result in fees if you come back with less gas or in free gas for Routes if you come back w/ more.

Pros: Once we got there, friendly & efficent team member though had to wait for car to be “cleaned” - see other ratings. Ease of checkout was great and quick service back to APO.

Cons: Having to wait 45 min for shuttle upon arrival to pu location. Then another 20 min once there for car to be cleaned which was not really. Huge crack in windshield that covered the entire right side of car - and scared to death that something else might completely collapse it as we made our way over CO on 70 & back. Also no interior lights worked and we tried to fix for hours but a fuse must have been blown.

Cons: The only negative about the rental process was the younger gentleman who picked us up in the transport vehicle to take us to the Routes office. The guy seemed very put out he was even having to work. Definitely seemed upset that we had 2 ski bags with us (we were on a ski trip, flew from Tennessee to Denver to ski at Breckenridge). Luckily everyone else we came in contact with was very nice and helpful!

I relied on that and returned the tank full. However the representative at the lot concede that the tank was only 3/8 at the time of rental. I have been defrauded of 5/8 of a tank of gas. Please contact me and give me a refund of that amount.

We were not give the vehicle we paid (in advance) for, but the replacement was satisfactory. The address provided on the website receipt for returns is incorrect, so it took a while to find the place when it came time to return it.

The manager said they didn't hold the car for me and I had to pay more money as it was last minute booking with them at another rental service to get moving to my destination. There was no customer service hotline for discover and I was left stranded by relying on a customer service email

There is not a clear phone number listed on the reservation & the call tree makes it extremely difficult to reach a live rep. Cost me an extra half hour to drop off the car. Also, it's quite confusing figuring out where to go since they don't have a sign, and it's also easy to miss the sign for Routes when dropping the car back off. The "office" was a run-down trailer with a metal ramp to the front door, and, honestly, when you walk in you feel like you're in somebody's living room instead of a place of business.

Cons: Flight was canceled last minute and replaced. Timeframe of that incident did not leave time to call and tell customer service I wasn't making pickup time. Then customer service deflected questions and offered no help. Email has not been responded to and website offers no assistance in helping file a report/dispute regarding a lost reservation. Also forcing people to pay fully up front over just the refundable deposit was the first red flag that this is a scam operation.

Pros: Cursing / unprofessional employees - discussing and sharing instagram photos of a half-naked women with me as I was picking my car up (completely unprompted)... I think the phrase was "that's a bankruptcy women" right there - then laughingly turns and shows me the photo they were looking at wanting my opinion (half-naked woman in lingerie). Truck I picked up had a crack across the entire windshield that wouldn't pass an inspection if you were asked to put it through one.

The car had no power. The rotators were warped. The tires were not balanced and you could definitely tell once you reached 60mph. The car had been wrecked previously and you could tell. And the company felt okay enough to put my family including my 4 year old in this vehicle.

Cons: The operation is based out of a trailer with poor customer relations. Employee car totally damaged is in the front entrance walking into the building giving you a very poor impression. The vehicle was not clean, had many service alerts flashing, the left rearview mirror was completely busted up, the window was chipped, and only 1/8 of a tank of gas. I was pulled over and received a citation for an expired license plate.

When I finally got through via chat, I was told that if you register through a 3rd party site, you cannot check-in ahead of time as requested. No where on the site does it say that.

Pros: I think I caught them at a good time so my experience was probably better than others. They only have one shuttle bus and they also have a passenger van. The DIA pickup is literally the last stop on island 5. We lucked out as the shuttle came by just as we walked out of baggage claim. We got upgraded to a full size SUV ... mostly since the rental agent didn't looking up the reservation first.

Cons: It bare bones operation... the employees were talking about how big of a rush they were expecting and given the staff/operations it sounds like they have some painfully difficult times for all involved. Do not expect a experience like with Hertz or Avis. Their terms are very customer unfriendly so really think about what you are doing with the rental and what you need. You only have a two hour pickup window so better hope your flight is on time.

Cons: I would have preferred the staff to wear masks. I would have preferred more frequent shuttles to the airport as we waited 35 minutes after returning the car.

Pros: Car was disgusting. So dirty. Drop marks, dust, gum on seats. Absolutely terrible. We took the car to get cleaned. Will never rent from routes again.

Pros: I feel robbed - the attendants were quick but were not clear about how bad the condition of the car was. They lied to me when they told me I was to receive an upgrade - instead they gave me a car with a cracked windshield, ruining my trip and making us feel unsafe during our rental.

Cons: The service was slow. The shuttle driver was eating fast food instead of making pickups. The lines were long and slow both at pickup and drop-off. The location wasn't properly signed. Overall for the price I paid this service was not good.

Cons: Hunter was rude…I rented a car and wanted to know why my receipt was different than when I paid by almost $200. I gave some excuse that because it was made online and I have an extra driver. Car was dirty and engine sounded rough!

Cons: I have never experienced such a poor rental agency. The rental car facility was a small shack, filled with flies. Employees seemed unknowledgeable and unenthused. Many things were not made clear when booking with the agency. A gentlemen came in and was informed he could not book as a Colorado resident, we were informed last minute that we could not return the rental car before 6am and that we could leave our car at the Westin Denver for a $100 fee, etc. The car was only moderately clean....

Cons: They placed a $500.00 hold on my credit cards before they let me rent the car. I was shocked by this, especially after I had paid for the rental in advance. They said that this information was on their website. This wasn't mentioned at the time of rental. Additionally, they were rude and there location was suspect because it was a trailer out in the middle of nowhere. I won't be renting from them again. Routes Car Rental seemed like some fly-by-night outfit that wasn't very professional.

Pros: When I picked up the rental the desk clerk provide me with a assesment of the car that was inaccurate. Stated there was no damage to the vehicle but upon inspection I found multiple discrepancies. Be sure that you inspect the vehicle closely. It appeared that the previous renter when off road with the vehicle.

Cons: The car inventory was in a poor condition. Guys in front of me were only offered jeeps with severely cracked windshields. When offered next range up the cost was going to have to sit with the renters, not the company who were failing to repair cars between rentals. In my case the front bumper was damaged with a hole through it. Reassured that car fine. Driving through mountains (this is Denver) the wind meant we had a constant rattling noise and the metal sheared further into large rip in bumper

All the other rental companies are listed on a large sign, with arrows pointing the right direction. except this one. It was like finding 9 & 3/4 on the Harry Potter movie.

Pros: First I’ve never heard of discover or routes until recently. I purchased a weekend rental and paid for it via the discover platform. When I showed up to the airport there were no signs for discover or routes. I finally found a phone number to the desk for Routes and learned where I needed to stand to be picked up, only routes never sent their shuttle. I inadvertently jumped on the wrong shuttle with all of my luggage and a three year old toddler.

Cons: When the lovely driver from the Rental company dropped me off, I asked the front desk agent at routes why they didn’t send a shuttle. Finally as I picked up the car, the agent surprisingly told me he would charge my debt card $500 additional dollars on top of the amount I already paid for a deposit. That is absolutely crazy and should have been clearly articulated in the documents I signed when I reserved the car online.

Pros: It is cheap but you get what you pay for. Took about 40 mins to get the car and when I went to return it I was basically ignored. They take their sweet time even though they know customers need to catch a flight. I had to actually ask someone to please help me cause I was going to miss my flight. They seem like they don’t take their jobs seriously at all and they don’t care if you’re on a time crunch. Which, when you travel, you basically always are.

Pros: The trailer office was dirty and the staff was obviously flustered and not trained.

Cons: It took way too long to rent the vehicle I reserved. The vehicle was filthy and the oil change was 6 mos and 5,000 miles overdue. The gas tank was supposed to be full but was less than 3/4 full. I felt unsafe at the rental counter.

Cons: 1. Cancelled their shuttle with no warning, blaming the snow. However, literally every other car rental and hotel shuttle was running regularly. 2. Claimed they couldn't get into their office due to the snow. Did not provide any directions to where they were actually "renting" the vehicles - turns out it was out of the back of a Jeep in a side lot. 3. You know how you can just toss the keys to Hertz, etc and go? Not these guys. Took 30 min just to turn in the car.
