Sicily By Car at Bergamo Airport

Pros: Car had full fuel, it was clean on the inside, they were fast once we get to the desk.

Cons: Car was very dirty on the outside, windows had a bit of an issue going up and down, the car start throwing a "need oil" "need repair" warning once in a while.

Pros: Offered alternative upgraded car was to our satisfaction.

Cons: Booked car was not available! Not all damages were on the damageform. The car was poorely cleaned.

Pros: Everything is good with Sicily By Car, but this time had to pay little more for changing cars. I was booked Peugeout 208, they wanted to give me Lancha Ipsylon. Soory but they are not the same class - at all. Maybe Opel Corsa or Renaut Clio... Never mind, we get Fiat 500X diesel - perfect for our trip

Pros: The car was brand new. Full of features that made our trip nice and easy. We enjoyed it travelling for more than 1500km crossing Italy and France.

Cons: We wanted to pick up the car late and we ordered the late pick up service. My plane was delayed and landed at 00:30, the office closed at 00:00 even though I ordered late pick up, the office knew my flight number (could check the delay) and I specially called them and kindly asked to wait. The office of another company was still opened when we landed, but I had to take a taxi and come back to the airport next day in the morning to pick up the car.

Pros: The pickup process was really quick. I booked a Seat Ateca and they provided a VW Tiguan, which I think is a good upgrade. It came with full fuel tank and was in a good working condition.

Cons: The car was not washed. The child chair was old and dirty. The car had some dents and scratched which were not mentioned in the paper, but these were not an issue on returning the car.

Pros: It was easy to find the car rental and easy to pick up it took 10 minutes maximum so I was happy with it

Although it was allowed to pay with a debit card, under the conditions of the reservation, the agent at the rental office told me not to make reservations with them, next time.

Cons: The car was old or at least was run lots of km. One of the tire was like a spare tire and does not look good. I paid 50eur to you for late pick up and then renting company also charged me another 50euro since time has passed midnight.

Pros: My flight was delayed. I tried to call SiciliByCar 15 times before my departure to tell them I will be after they business hours. They didnt pickedup the phone. I provided my flight number and phone number during reservation in DiscoverCars. SiciliyByCar didnt call me. I lost my car and my upfront payment. I had a problem to find another car and I paid much more for it doing it without reservation. Never again paying upfront and never againg beliving that they try to call me having fly number.

Cons: Price change - during the reservation I was quoted 124,42 EUR - (Fiat 500L 4 days) in total total, and at the Sicily Office I was quoted 232,39 (this includes advance paid to discovercars) - it was 107,20 EUR MORE THAN I was quoted!!!!!!!

Cons: It was not stated in the confirmation email that we need to sign the contract at the airport desk and then go to pick up the car from the parking. This requires us to go back to the airport. Another area for improvement could be ensuring consistent requirements for the type of cards used during booking and when signing the contract.

Cons: The flight was delayed for one hour and there was nobody to talk to. The office was closed and nobody answered the phone even the next day. We couldn’t take the car and nobody wanted to help us or cooperate. I definitely don’t recommend Sicily By Car.

Cons: the car was not clean, broken fasteners for the rear shelf, I constantly had to fix it after closing the trunk, otherwise the shelf would block my view, the button on the keys that opens the trunk worked after several dozen presses

Cons: The quality of the baby chairs was beyond ridiculous. These chairs they offer have nothing to do with safety. It should be banned to offer such equipment to the customers who come for holidays with their children. Every single customers before us in the line had the same problem. Be aware - traveling without children - highly recommended. Traveling with children - take the baby chair with you.

Cons: Picking up the car was poor. I selected late pick-up for the car but when I arrived at the rental desk it was closed. Tried to call but no answer. I had to spend the night at the airport and wait until 8 am for the rental to open.

Pros: - Representative at the front desk was helpful and nice - Returning the car was easy. There was a guy who picked up the key no matter if it was really early in the morning. Shuttle to the airport came and go right away.

After that, they refused to give me the car because I only had a debit card, despite the fact that there are no issues/risks taking a deposit from my debit card and nearby Europcar rentals could do that without problem. Also debit card was not listed among the “not accepted” payment methods, leaving me misinformed. Yes, the price is low, but the staff at the desk is incompetent and has zero focus on the customer. You get what you pay for.

Cons: The service was terrible. We had a flat tyre and the car didn’t have any replacement tyre to change. They took the car away to change the tyre and took them 3 days which by then we had to fly back to our country and on my rental period it clearly says the day I was meant to return the car despite that they took 3 days. There was poor communication from the agents, calling them for hours. They also almost tried to charge me the flat tyre which I didn’t even cause, they gave a car with bad tyres.

Car was old for No one available at car pick up location, I was just passed keys & told roughly where the car was, the price, windscreen wiper blades in poor condition & glue/plant detritus was stuck over the windscreen, which interfered with drivers view & couldn’t be removed. I was advised that this was the only car available. Rip off.

Antena was broken and left in car, windshield liquid was full however it did not work entire time, front headlight bulb stopped working on second day, antifreeze in engine was on low level, I had to purchase and fill it. Front dashboard showed change oil indication, I showed this to rental agents but they did not care and said just go. When I returned car, nobody from rental agents was there.

Pros: Sicily by Car were extremely adaptable when I needed to change the dates of my booking. They were very easy to contact at the UK helpdesk number 24/7. The staff were exceptionally efficient and pleasant to deal with; both on teh phone and in person in Bergamo, and the whole process was simple and a joy.

Not knowing where I would be able to charge it during my short time in Italy, I had to change to a petrol car for a cost of an extra 10 Euros per day.
