Thus we took the opportunity to take notice over all damages since the original damage documents stated “no damage” One of the employees helping us was irritated by it. Further on he threatened us by stating filming people is illegal in Italy upon him thinking we were filming him which wasn’t the case. We were filming the damage upon him previously shouting “video is your evidence” It went from worse to worser.

Cons: They were offering full insurance for 200 EUR as if I haven't payed it already to Discovery cars. It's always the case that on the counter they want to scare you with insurance. I didn't take it but they say, I will have to pay the damage (in case of it) and then demand refound from Discovery. I do not know the policy but this is not clear. You are guaranteeing full insurance and providers ussually say, this is between you and Discovery and push you for additional insurance. I don't like it.

Pros: We had an absolutely great experience with this rent-a-car company! Everything went smoothly from start to finish — no issues at all. The pickup and drop-off process was incredibly quick and easy, which made our trip even more enjoyable.

Pros: I liked only the drop off to the Bari Airport branch of Sicilybycar. I never had problems with them in Bari Apt, it's a well-managed and wonderful team of hard workers made by lovely people. I can't say the same for staff at Napoli Airport branch, that I understand is directly linked with headquarters and not a franchising.

Cons: I rented and paid for an Intermediate Elite Crossover (i.e. Opel Grandland, Peugeot 3008, Citroen C5 Aircross etc), I had that on the voucher but instead was assigned another code, JGMR/JGMR, which was not at all for that category. This created me many problems as I couldn't fit 5 ppl and luggages in the trashed compact SUV they assigned. Long discussions for nothing and they had the face to ask me to pay extra to get a bigger car. Someone lied with the rental codes: Discovercars or Sicilybycar.

The company even said it wasn't interested in how we're going to resolve the situation. if we wanted to rebook car it was 600€

When we went to get our booked 4+ doors car, they gave us a 3 door car and refused to exchange it for the one we had booked and paid for. This is because we were more than 2 hours late for pick up, so they gave the car to someone else. Luckily I have a driving license for manual gear, but this is certainly not my preference while driving abroad - to remember and practice. otherwise we would have stuck with no car...

Car was not the same or very similar to the one rented - much smaller but no reduction in price. 18 days after drops g the car back the bond or ‘hold’ which is actually a charge to the credit card has still not been refunded. Communications are non existent despite enquiries via website.

When i tried to go and pick up rental car from the Naples airport, the worker said i can't use debit card. After showing him that it's literally written on their webpage, he said "OK you can use, but you have to pay 750€ deposit and send us your return flight tickets." I tried to explain that the checkin starts 24 hours before flight so i can't send flight tickets as the flight was in 4 days.

As this was my first rental experience in Italy, I didn't feel like taking the chance, and paid. However, having chatted to my policy company, it seems that my policy would have been valid. I have not had the same issue in Spain or France, and have rented several times a year for 15 years. I won't be using SBC or DCH again

When I refused they were unhappy and made me sign it to get the keys. Then I brought to their attention that there was a lot more damage on the vehicle (large dents, full areas without paintwork, etc) which wasn't on the form I had signed. They refused to come to the parking lot so made me drive it to their front desk. Shocking experience

Pros: My at bad an unexpected dent on the passenger side making it hard for the passenger to open the door. The agent, Nicola fixed the issue by pulling the dent out and also offering us a new car. (Apparently this damage was not checked from the last person to use it or it was overlooked). Our agent was very good at helping get us out fast and get us a car in great condition.

We were required to add a second driver all to have my boyfriend use his credit card to authorize the insurance amount for the car. I made the reservation and the initial down payment. I was willing to pay for the remainder of the reservation and my boyfriend was wanting to put the rest on his card. It was absurd the way in which we were treated and how the policy required us to pay extra in order to authorize a card. Won't use again
