Pick-up instructions
Our SIXT branch is located outside the arrivals hall on level 2. Coming out of the baggage claim area, turn right toward the car rental counters. SIXT is located at the end of the hall on the left. Several "Car Rental" signs will also guide you to our counter. Our opening hours are 6:30 am - 11 pm
Drop-off instructions
First, follow direction Brussels, then direction Zaventem Nationale Luchthaven. Right before you enter the airport coming from the highway A201, follow the signs indicating "Car Rental Return". When you enter the parking lot, follow the Sixt signs. These will guide you to our check-in zone, where our colleagues will collect both your vehicle and the key. You can ask for a final check of the vehicle together with our colleagues. You can now continue your way to the departure hall.

Pros: Great quality car. Fast pickup and drop off. Friendly staff.

Cons: Car had several scratches that I couldn't inspect due to darkness in underground parking pickup lot. Also, I didn't have the report with damage emailed to me yet, when I picked up the car, so I couldn't double check the damage even if the parking lot was well lit.

Pros: Check in was very easy, the car agent suggested was a great car, very easy to drive!

Cons: However, the car had smoke smell once we drove out the garage when turn on the heater!! It was too late to switched the car…. :(. We hate smoking smell! Also, the drop off garage in LUX was very confusing! The garage had a gate that required a QR code to get in!

Rental Conditions

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses from non-EU countries (except Switzerland) are accepted if no visa has been entered in the passport.
All non-EU residents staying in the EU for longer than 6 months must present a driving licence from an EU country.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
Learner's permits are not accepted; a full driver's license is required.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Winter tires, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Diners, JCB, Discover, Airplus. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: PIN verification; cards without this capability will not be accepted.

Cash, Cheques, Debit cards, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain-Mainland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Gibraltar, San Marino.
crossing country borders is forbidden for certain car groups.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Cross border fee.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Additional information
Winter tires are recommended during the winter season but are not mandatory.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
