Pick-up instructions
You will receive your rental car at the Sixt branch. In front of arrivals exit, you will find a bus stop with the indication: shuttle bus car rental company which will reach the Car Rental area where our Sixt branch is located. The bus is running from 5.00 am to 11.30 pm (extended in case of late flight) each 15 minutes everyday and takes you to Via Palagio degli Spini. The drive takes about 3 minutes. If you cannot find the the shuttle bus or the shuttle bus station, please call us: 0039 0 294 757 979.
Drop-off instructions
Via del Palagio degli Spini Please do not drive to the airport, please drive directly to the car return at the car rental area, in Via Palagio degli spini we are the second container on the right. Our shuttle bus will bring you back to the airport. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the time you would like to be at your terminal. The closest petrol station is Esso, go right after exiting the car rental center and you will find it on the left hand side after about 300 m.

Pros: English speaking agents at the Florence Italy airport location. The agent upon return was a bit nonchalant when I asked to have the car examined and I worried I might get charged for non-existent damage; luckily did not. But also did not receive an email receipt as promised.
Cons: Aggressive agent upon pick up who first wanted to try to sell me a more expensive vehicle and then tried to scare me into buying more insurance.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1300.00), Theft Protection, Snow chains, Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.

The following surcharges may apply: motorisation fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the Geneva / Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (e.g., China), an official translation of the license in the following language(s): Italian, together with the original license, must be presented.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
