Pros: We appreciated being given another car as the first one made a disturbing noise and had already 80.000 km... The second one was almost new.
Cons: The agent insisted on the fact we took many risks by refusing to take a complementary insurance although I told him we had taken an all risk insurance with you! The contract mentions : "Loss damage Waiver with an excess of 1000 USD" !+ "Theft Protection with an excess of 1000 USD" + " Third Party Liability with an excess of 600 USD" and "20% Responsibility to third party " All these contract terms appeared to us as threats and the attitude of the agent was really disturbing.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: ~€ 760.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.
There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
If the duration of your stay in Costa Rica is longer than 3 months, a driver license issued in Costa Rica is required.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.

At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: American Express, Diners, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.

Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
