Pros: De var søde at skrive på whatsapp inden afhentning samt have kørekørt klar. De var søde at hente os i lufthavnen og stod klar, drop off gik hurtigt. Bilen var fin. Vi punkterede en enkelt gang, men sørgede selv for at lappe det hos en mekaniker, så vi kunne komme videre.

Cons: De var ikke til at komme i kontakt med optil afhentning, så Discovercar tog dialogen med dem. Vi havde fået dem til at et Sri Lankansk kørekort, men der stod forkert navn og de sagde, at de ville sende den til os på whatsapp. Så vi kørte 7 timer uden kørekortet og der gik 2 døgn før de sendte det til os. Så vi kørte egentlig ulovligt i 2 dage, fordi de ikke havde tjekket op på korrekt udstedt kørekort os. Dækkene var meget slidte.

Pros: They found very fast car with a driver to mitigate impact after we understood that we will not get the car because of absence of local driving license

Cons: They did not react after notifying them about car scratch and did not get back about it. Representative did not pick up phone when police stopped me and was asking about hard copy of my Sri Lanka local driving permit.

Cons: - too old car. - When I returned the car, they touched the dust on the car with their hands and were upset to say there was a problem with the painting. It rained a few days, and it gets clean when they wash their car. And they pointed out where the car was a little low, so.. I solved it by showing them a picture I took when I rented it.

Pros: Meeting at the airport. Friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Transfer to their offices took time. They didn't have the car I had ordered and pre-paid for. After receiving the car when I WhatsApp them it always took them two days to respond. That could have been a real problem had the car broken down or had I been in an accident.

Cons: Car was not the same we booked online. On our landing, we didn’t find car rental desk at airport. Instead an agency collaborating with rental cars’ such as SR, helped us to arrange the car for 2nd day as I requested in our online booking, however SR took fees charge for dropping off to our hotel. On Last day, we drop off car at SR address not airport but they drop us to airport. Deposit amount is still on hold with SR, I have photo paper that car is returned in good condition, & no damage.

Pros: They were efficient

Cons: The Intermediate car provided was woefully under-powered. Honda Hybrids are not adequate for steep climbs. We saw another Honda Hybrid abandoned by its owner when we attempted to drive up a steep climb, and we were forced to do the same. On another occasion we required the help of passer-bys to push our car, with all luggage and passengers out, just to get to the top, in the lowest gear (of course).

Pros: Helpful stuff, speaks English, arranged the local Driving Permit in advance (for money).

Cons: I have got a Suzuki Spacia instead of a Suzuki Swift. Car was dirty and smelly. Talk to me in Japan, cannot set to English. And the break did not work safely, air in the break liquid.... Anyway, it was ok, but do not expect a European level car for that higher-than-the-EU price..

Pros: At pick up very efficient and polite.

Cons: Drop off, car was clearly old and repaired after what may have been a big accident. Agent refused to acknowledge it. Also had to make an unnecessary trip into airport car park, pay extra for parking while agent took his time to come. No apology but stating he was out all along. Then why did he not see his car drive in ???

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 700.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 65 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, international renters must present the following documents: return flight ticket, flight information. In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.

You'll need a local driver's license in Sri Lanka. The supplier will organize this for you, but you need to send the following to srrentacar@yahoo.com at least 5 business days before your pick-up date: a copy of your International Driving Permit, a copy of your Passport, and a Passport-size color photo of the main driver.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
Debit cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Cell phone.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Additional drivers are allowed free of charge.
It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period is without limitations.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
