Cons: Being told my trip to Georgia was an additional $1000 dollars. I was expected to read small print on a counter 20 feet away. Not being given a reasonable explanation as to why $1000 should be charged. Extremely scammy and a very under hand practice: car hire $200 and extra cost $1000 Does that seem reasonable?

Cons: I ordered and prepaid a Nissan Qashqai SUV or similar however got a Nissan Kicks which was much smaller vehicle.

They said it’s the amount of vehicles available, there was like 300 cars in that jawn. Not to mention they’re running their system on like dial up or some shit cause good god it took like 45 min to get the keys. Plus they hit you with “you have to have full coverage” and want like 60-80 a day for that. Was truly wild.

Service was slow on arrival. Highly recommend do not rent from this company.

Cons: Wasn't given the same make/model that I had selected. I was forced to take a train from Terminal C to Terminal A because they won't pick up at C. The shuttle driver who picked us up was texting and driving and was all over the road. The wait was incredibly long in the line to actually pick up the car. It was over 2 hours from when my flight landed to when I was actually able to drive off in the car.

Meanwhile, the information I had in front of me had the exact exact dates booked. Seemed like there was an internal error. Car should’ve been cleaner in the inside. Had a funny odor.

Cons: One switch car rental is defrauding unsuspecting people into believing Florida law requires the consumer to purchase liability insurance through One Switch. As we know that's not the law at all. Yes, you must have a active personal liability insurance policy but you can decline coverage from the rental company. My quote, as others before and after me, tripled at the counter because of the insurance "required" through one switch. I plan on filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Florida.

Cons: Everything. I have used several rental companies in the same area & have never had issues until the service with One Switch. They wanted a Declaration Page from insurance (which has never been needed by any rental company before) or they wanted to charge $39.95 per day to use their insurance. Once the insurance proof was given, there was a charge to use my own insurance AND the difference in the policies had to be paid for on top of everything. This place is a SCAM.

I think it would have been an even worse experience if I didn't speak spanish, though. The shuttle driver was cool, though, and dropping off the car was pretty easy and straightforward.

Cons: Requiring customers to pay $10/day for a SunPass, since if you don't pay for it, they charge you $28.50 for each toll you pass through, regardless of whether you can pay the toll in cash or not. This is essentially blackmail. I didn't like that they didn't answer their landline to send a shuttle to the airport, and I didn't like the fact that they charged $4.00 to my credit card a week after I rented the car without explanation.

They were not going to let us use our own insurance despite us having adequate coverage. They needed us to provide the declaration page. When we said we’d cancel then our insurance was adequate. Customers before and after us were upset with all the up charges, we were too.

The amount of people that were there when I arrived that cancelled their reservation was unreal due to their LIES AND SCAMS. My $95 rental turned into $291 apparently they only give Fl residents 50 miles a day and if you want unlimited then it’s $20 PER DAY. They didn’t accept my insurance to charge me more. I need my money back for lies.

The price quoted on the Kayak website was much lower than the actual price due to crazy amount of additional fees that were added when I actually went to pick up the car (at that point I was stranded at this rental company after taking about 2 hours to even get to the point of signing for the car).

Cons: It was advertised at a certain price and when we arrived we learned there were mandatory additional costs we were not aware of (liability insurance) and the actual cost was significantly higher. Also the car we received was in terrible shape. We felt lucky it didn’t break down on us during our trip.

Had dents and scratches over the entire exterior, had maintenance lights on, key fob didn’t work, engine idled roughly and even stalled on us once.

Pros: After reading several bad reviews I can honestly say I was a little hesitant. READ the directions and have your insurance available if you deny the coverage. As far as toll roads, if you don’t get the toll service just simply use no tolls when punching in directions. Be patient and enjoy your vacation.
