Definitely not nice, as this is not mentioned at discovercars.com. People didn’t really speak English very well so we kind of felt scammed.

He was trying to scare us and more or less told us we were idiots for not paying 310 euros for insurance, even though we explained we were covered by DC.

I received the oldest car I have seen all my life, having more than 200.000km on board, everything was falling apart inside, the car was good to be sent to junk yard immediately. They refused to give me a decent car upon pick up. If needed I can backup everything I write with documents of the car and tones of pictures. The people at the office when dropping off were decent.

Cons: Instead of giving me a decent car thr lady at the office insisted 10times that I should buy their insurance of nearly 600eur altghouy I said I already had insurance. The total value of the car was less than the insurance they were proposing... Just unbelievable how these companies exist.

Cons: We had to wait 1.5 hours for our car to be 'cleaned' which delayed our plans considerably. The car we received was quite beat up on the outside (lots of scratches, dents, etc.) and the staff was extremely thorough during return to make sure none of these cosmetic issues were caused by us. When renting from them, be sure to take many, many photos/videos of the car before you take it off the lot otherwise you may incur a costly fine.

Cons: The first car offered, a Fiat 500L, was very old, had a terrible automatic transmission, and the staff seemed very unhappy when we asked for a different car. The second car offered, a Peugeot 308, was in very poor condition - there was damage everywhere, but at least the transmission was fine. There were cars in much better condition, so I have no idea why we got this Schrott even though we booked it months in advance. I feel myself cheated and will never book a car again using this service.

Cons: After paying for full coverage with you, Surprice said that this insurance wasn’t valid in their country and I had to pay a further £275. They said I had to pay it or if any minor scratch happens on the car I’d have to pay that price to get it fixed, even though the car was full of scratches already. They gave us an old Fiat Qubo which had poor, squeaky breaks, a dodgy gear box and no aircon. The car advertised on Discover Cars was a Fiat Tipo or similar with aircon.

Pros: Very low price. Trustworthy and reliable service. No hidden fees, no rip-off. I could pick up the car at 11pm night for small extra fee.

Cons: Car had many undocumented small body damages (which were difficult to find at the dark pickup location) - had to spend 15 minutes taking photos.

Cons: cooperation. It seems that the local service is completely separated from the online service. It did not feel good. I needed to pay extra insurance instead of a refundable deposit (€1000,-). Even though I paid for the insurance online.

Cons: The customer service. When we arrived, we were told we needed to wait at least an additional thirty minutes to get our car as a customer had not returned it yet. We had to ask for them to switch us into a different car category, this was not offered. When we returned the car, we did not realize that returning it in the same condition we received it meant that we had to return it with a completely cleaned interior and exterior. Other car rental agencies only charge a fee when damage has occurred.

Cons: The car was a little bit dirty. The seats were stained. The pick-up location is not correct in the description or in the emails. It was not clear at all where to find it. The main office is not mentioned in the description, but it would be helpfull because maybe we could find that faster than the pick-up location.

Cons: When we picked up the car, Surprise told us that the interior could not be "dirty" at drop-off. It was really not dirty, only some sand and dust at the feet of the driver, because the mat at the feet of the driver was not usable (completely worn out). They didn't accept the car "because it was dirty". We had either to pay 100 euro or to let the car "vacuum cleaned". They said this was an agreement with Discover cars, to put the price at a lower level. They were very rude and unfriendly.

Cons: There was no shuttle at the arrivals to meet us, we spent 15 mins dragging our suitcases around to try and fine their shack. Then when we did we had to wait in the heat for another 10 mins until a minibus arrived. Then we had to load our cases into the minibus ( no help offered and we’re not that agile) and rode for another 5 mins to the office. We then had to unload our cases (again no help). The ‘same to same’ fuel policy meant we had to fill the car up on collection and leave unused petrol

Pros: Staff were welcoming and professional on arrival and the best thing was we were able to return our car quickly with no issues

Cons: Ordered and paid extra for a Citroen C3 (or similar), got a 2004 Opel Astra (don’t see how this is equivalent). Very old car, first generation automatic that I would need to remove my foot for it to change gears. Crete is mountainous - it really struggled to drive up. Had to really accelerate up a steep road and ended up skidding slightly. Would not use this company again.

Cons: The first car given to us had a faulty gas gauge. The second car also had a faulty gas gauge. We do not know how much extra fuel (diesel) we gave them because of the faulty gauge, but approximately 12 liters = Approximately 20.00 euros. This was based on filling the tank and watching the kilometer mileage. Also, we had arranged for a delivery of the car to our home and Surprice canceled this service at the last minute. We then had to hire a taxi which cost us 40.00 euros.
