TAJ CAR RENTAL at Mauritius Airport

Cons: Sent an email to explain I will arrive at 13.30 but agent cane at 11 am, did not get car until 4 pm

Cons: Teh agent didn't tell me I had to drop the car off clean. He has to charge me when I droped it off. This is the first time I rent a car and they ask me to clean it. I also had to ask to add at the contract the damages the car had, when I picked it. The agent wanted to make pictures but I had to insist to mark the damages at the draw of the car in the contract to make constancy of them

Pros: We had issues the Taj car Rental agent, he said that the car I hired was involved in and accident and was giving me another 7 seater vehicle. He was demanding that I pay 2500 rupees, which is totally unacceptable.

Cons: The agent also threatened of cancelling my car rental contract. This put a lot of strain on us during our holiday in Mauritius. He kept on hounding me to pay 2500 rupees. Please sort this out so other people don't go through what we went through.

Pros: Ashvin met us at the airport and took us to the car. He contacted us via WhatsApp to let us know that he was on his way.

Cons: Unexpected cleaning costs at the end of the service (it is not written on any of the paperwork) and money being returned in Euros rather than Pounds was not ideal.

Pros: The A/C stopped working in our vehicle, we called Taj car rental and they replaced the car on the Monday.

Pros: Mr Ajay the owner brought the car to our hotel the day before so that we didn't have to pick it up at the airport, with no extra cost for the extra day. Communication with him was also very good.

Pros: Providing us with an Internet connection so we always had access to Google Maps and whatever else we needed to find out. We didn't even know that such a device existed.

Cons: Sincerely cannot think of anything any of the service providers could have done better.

Pros: Pick up was very efficient and also the drop off was not filled with a load of drama like a lot of companies seem to do these days. I didn't expect any drama as I took care of the car as if it was my own. There was a bit of a hiccup about the return time but it got sorted. The office was not informed by the delivery man of the correct time as per the contract. The car was perfect for us...a Nissan Note Hybrid and in excellent condition.

Cons: I asked for more information regarding the car I would be hiring prior to the trip. When I arrived, it wasn’t the same car and it seemed it had seen better days. Inside seats were ripped and badly mended, lots of badly patched works on the outside. Didn’t perform well for a 2019 car and very noisy. My main route was towards grand Bassin via Bassin blanc and the car struggled a lot to go uphill. I also rented a child car seat which I struggled a lot to use. The cushion was falling apart.

Pros: The Suzuki car was new.

Cons: I will never take TAJ CAR RENTAL again for my trips to Mauritius (cf. Emails sent)
