Cons: Got into an accident while in Thailand (A vehicle hit me from the back). Tried contacting ThaiRent for support, but they did not have anyone that could speak English. Due to this, the insurance ruled it our fault, despite being hit from the back, from another car in another lane. Tried explaining to the person on the desk, but they did not bother helping us. It has been a week, but still no reply from their end.

Pros: I am in and out of Phuket on a regular basis, so get to use most of the rental companies. This company is definitely one of the best.

Cons: Staff didn’t seem interested in renting me a larger car, for some reason. They said I’d have to scrap my booking and process a new one which would take too long. It was 0800 and I was the only person in the queue.

Pros: Easy pick up of car

Cons: There was a serious dent and scrapes on right hand side of car that they did not "see" and was not marked. Drop off procedure was not explained properly. Searched for entrance to garage. Maybe clearer map in car to explain drop off point? Had to wait for guy to inspect car.

Cons: We had to pay FINE OF 500 bAHT TO tHAI pOLICE for not having International permit. We had valid Indian license. No body from ur side had informed us regarding International permit It was a bit costly. Complementary Umbrellas were not provided like Euro car etc

Pros: The location is easy to find and the car was the right size .

Cons: The car had a faulty battery . The first time we stopped it , we could not ignite it again. We spent hours trying to figure out what was the issue and then waiting for a replacement to arrive from the airport. We were not offered any compensation for the half day we lost. Because batteries in the warm weather of Thailand do not die prematurely without warning , we suspect that what was at issue is a maintenance problem.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 140.00 - € 275.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Additional drivers are allowed free of charge.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
