Pros: The car was new and clean, and we were able to return it out of hours without additional cost, and leave the keys in the drop-box.

Cons: In Paphos at the airport where we picked up the car it was a little unclear where we needed to pick it up (which section of the parking lot). It would have been nice if a Thrifty representative would have walked from the rental counter in the terminal to the parking lot.

Cons: The member of staff was very rude and refused to give us any details of the branch manager. We were made to pay a charge which the member of staff could not show us existed in the terms and conditions.

Pros: The car was in excellent condition (we didn't care about some scratches on the outside, the mechanic part was absolutely fine), very clean and easy to drive. Workers were nice and patient.

Cons: Big flaws are that you do not accept cash and the fact that the whole amount must be paid by one person only (more precisely, it must be paid with one card and it also must be the renters card). I do not see the reason for that. But, in our case, after a long argument, you permitted the payment with two cards and because of that we are very grateful.

Pros: Nothing, I have never had such bad service in my life!

Cons: State of car offered. It was ten years old and unsafe. After an hour of arguing, the vehicle was swapped for another car which was dirty and had significant damage to the front bumper. Then when returning the car, the company wanted to charge me for the damage despite the dispatch form showing that this was present at the time of renting.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 835.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.

The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Accident Administration fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Cross-border policy
Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following country: Northern Cyprus.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
The client must pay for the full tank upon pick up.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Cyprus.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation. The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.

Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 29 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
