Cons: The company has been brought by ezi car. This was confusing and thrifty and discover car were NOT helpful when we had an issue collecting the car. Resulting in us not collecting on arrival, and having to make numerous ph calls and emails to all 3 companies that night and the next day. And collecting the car the next morning.

Pros: Van we hired overheated in its brakes as we were driving down winding steep Wanaka hillside. Could have been bad for our group of 10 travellers. It was only a few hours after pick up too. Service people could have delivered a replacement vehicle to us in town instead of us wasting time dropping it off. Only Yuko was friendly enough.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 2440.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the Geneva / Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (e.g., China), an official translation of the license in the following language(s): English, together with the original license, must be presented.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information.
In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Cross-border policy
When booking a one-way rental between islands, you'll have to drop off the vehicle at the Wellington office and pick up a different one at the Picton office.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.
Optional extras and services

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 59 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
