Thrifty at Tampa Airport

Pros: Ease of return

Cons: App didn’t work, car was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Terrible!!!

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Late night staff upon arrival were way too aggressive with purchasing insurance, took way too long to select my car. Downstairs agent was obnoxious, loud and rude. It was way too late in the evening to have to deal with this.

Pros: No lines, quick pickup and drop off.

Cons: No agent to view vehicle upon return.

Pros: nothing

Cons: The car was not the best car I ever rented from Thrifty. There was a big rip in the trunk, huge stains in the interior ceiling, exterior had a LOT of marks and dings. The A/C made a noise (driver side) and car made a funny noise when ignition was turned off.

Pros: Absolutely nothing, they were the most inconsiderate people I ever encountered. I didn't see a single person walk away from their counter happy and that was after more than an hour waiting.

Cons: 2 people working the counter for 2 rental companies. Over an hour wait to find out there were no cars originally reserved. Once I was sent to the pick up booth I was told none of my info was entered. They needed to work from my confirmation email to obtain their own info. Then I was given the last vehicle available which was nothing like I reserved. It was a well beat up minivan with over 35K miles. I normally wouldn't have accepted this car for free nevermind already paid in full.

Cons: Didn’t appreciate after a long haul flight, having to wait 2.5 hours for the hire car on arrival when it had been booked months in advance

Pros: The time in line picking up the car was pretty good. The staff/supervisor at the pick up lot were very helpful. Time at drop off was very fast.

Cons: The agent at the check-in desk was way too insistent about trying to "sell" the option of not bringing the car back with a full tank.

Cons: The car was old and should not be used and it smelled of smoke.

Pros: The was this smell in the car musty, or something that would not go away.

Cons: Waiting I two lines to get the rental. Should be separate lines for just renting and people who already paid for car rental.

Pros: Everything was perfect with the car, but it just didn't have windshield wiper fluid. Other than that car was mint.

Pros: All except the waiting at the airport for service, The staff were talking against each other etc... did not like that.

Cons: Once I started to ride on the 275, I noticed that my hood was not closed properly ..

Cons: The cars I was able to choose from was not what I chose in my reservation. My flight was delayed so I got in very late but I wish I knew that could happen

Cons: Took me an hour and a half waiting on line to pick up the vehicle at the airport. Just One agent working for lots of customers waiting on the line.

Cons: very limited choice of cars, but I was fine with the one I got. Pressure to get the extras.

Pros: Drop off was fast and easy.

Cons: Inside agent said that adding an addt'l driver was fast and easy, but never mentioned that it would cost more. Agent at the pick-up location said that addt'l driver was $13.50 per day. This was not disclosed on the website.

Cons: windshield and wipers on the rented car were not up to par. In a rain storm visability was very poor and I experienced a couple of near misses as a result. I corrected by multiple cleanings of both. Wipers rubber was deteriated and the windshield was oily.

Pros: When I had to return the car at 1 AM the girl was nice and apologetic . However if they checked the car before rental I would not have had a blowout and spent 2 hours rectifying

Cons: DRY Rotted tires , Road service FINALLY contacted me 6 HOURS AFTER I called in an emergency, Road service girl was an idiot,,, there is no cross streets when you are on a bridge.

Pros: Ease of finding car in lot. Price for rental was lower than other rental agencies.

Cons: The rental car smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Car was not in the cleanest of condition. Smeared windshield. Multiple areas of damage to the car prior to receiving it. Tampa rental desk understaffed and very long wait times cut into my vacation.

Cons: They denied renting to me because I didn't have a credit card. I waited over an hour and left without a car. They would not accept my debit card.

Pros: Returning the car was quick, the lady made sure I forgot nothing and that the licence plate on my contract was the same as the licence plate on the car as the key tag had the wrong licnence plate showing

Cons: The waiting at my arrival. Only two agents for a very long crowd of customers. I waited 45 min standing.

Pros: Thrifty was great. Discover card easy rent sucks. I will never use discover card again because of being left stranded at the airport.

Cons: The agents arguing with eachother over who can take a break when. Trying to close their window when there was a line of customers waiting - not cool.

Pros: Teaming with Hertz, they allowed me to select my vehicle from the qualifying section of vehicles.

Cons: The line at the Thrifty counter took close to an hour to get through. There were several agents but the line had at least 25 people ahead of us and went very slow.

Pros: pretty automatic once you get to counter

Cons: Tampa airport merges Thrifty into Hertz agents and Thrifty customers have a long wait

Pros: the ease of online reservation

Cons: the only negative i have to say is check in at the airport where you had to use different agency that combined for check in the process was slow

Cons: The counter was closed at airport and we had to "fit into" line at Hertz which took their customers first.

Pros: Great price, clean car.

Cons: Thrifty was closed so we had to go to Hertz, which was a bit busy.
