Pros: Nothing

Cons: We booked the reservation two weeks in advance. We checked in an hour prior to arrival, yet we still had to wait for 1.5 hours for our car. They claimed the wait was because it was a convertible. The Camaro convertible we were given was dirty and damaged. On top of that, the rate for the damage waiver was different than what we pre-booked. I will never use Thrifty again.

Cons: I was blacklisted and I never got a warning or notice about it. I had to find out at the last minute and forfeit my car rental. I was not pleased.

Pros: The rates were inexpensive and as a teacher, good for my budget. After driving all six days, I filled the tank fully and brought it into the rental return at 5:20 AM and was told that is all we need, leave the keys on the dashboard. I arrive home in California very late in the day go to bed and wake up the next day to a message that says amount charged $84.84. I have pictures of my filled tank and my safe delivery of car. Thrifty Cars cheated me and provided poor service. Bob Basche

Cons: When I arrived in Honolulu, my one hour wait in line was a disappointment because I had already sent all of the information requested for an express pick up. This express pick up did not work because they did not have the car that was promised to me as a Chevy. All the alternative possibilities were $20-$30 a day more than the previous promised Chevy. This is a classic bait and switch. When I finally get into my car late in the afternoon, the note on the dashboard message was; servicing needed.

Pros: Even though I took the time to preregister a loading my license and credit card, and received text meetings that I could select my car and go straight to the car, I had to wait in a Thrifty line at Honolulu airport for almost 2 hours only to find out there was another 2-3 hour wait as they were turning cars one at a time. Had an appointment so cancelled my reservation and got a car immediately at another rental agency. The most inefficient and frustrating rental car experience ever. Horrible.

Cons: Not enough cars, not enough staff, very broken process- alot of upset customers after a long flight- expecting people to wait 5 hours is completely absurd.

Didn't know until asked garage manager why the wait, he said he had no idea when the type of car assigned to us would come in - had to settle for smaller car and also take an uber because we couldn't all fit in the smaller car - totally unacceptable

Cons: Disgusting service. The car was dreadful, dirty inside and out, dented, scratched, smelly, run by kids playing their music at full volume. Just pointed to the car and set off you go, no instructions, no idea what type of fuel it took, no information on what we need to do if we have any problems. Service desk only interested in up selling. Had to wait for over an hour to get to the desk.

Cons: The line to pick up a car was unbelievable. I've rented cars for years and have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen a line as long as the one at the HNL airport. What's worse is that National and Enterprise car rental companies were right next door and had no less than 3 people in line for each place. Thrifty had about 100 people in line and 3 agents helping customers. THAT'S HORRIBLE SERVICE!! NO ONE WANTS TO SPEND HOURS WAITING IN LINE FOR A RENTAL CAR ON THEIR VACATION. Thrifty can do better than this

Cons: Waiting in line for 3 hours just to get to the service desk. Then another 90 mins to get our car.we went to Hawaii for fun and beaches, not to spend half a day waiting for a car we reserved weeks ago.

Cons: Thrifty was horrible. There was a huge line for Thrifty and no other car rental companies. I noted a long line again for Thrifty, and no other companies, when we were dropping off the car.

Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (with zero deductible), Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), State Tax, Surcharges.
Rate excludes
Many highways in USA are tolled using only electronic means.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
The option to prepay tolls is available for 9.99 USD to 27.99 USD per day depending on the travel area.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 20 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
An International Driving Permit is required (in addition to your regular driver license) if the national driver license is not written in the following language(s): English.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, for rates that include Fuel Purchase Option the first tank of gas is included. Customers do not have to refuel the vehicle prior to return.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 62 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
