Pros: decent chaps. guy giving the car was business like was efficient.

Cons: guy giving the car wanted to charge 5% tax which was not mentioned in discover cars voucher. i refused to pay it and he didnt charge (though he was a bit exasperated).

Cons: I booked Nissan Xtrail hybrid but I was given Cheverlet Trac. We were five people and it was cramped, 2017 model, not clean but dirty, body full of scratches and the agent charged extra for full protection while the online booking indicated booking for full protection. All in all I will not recommend Thrifty again to anyone

Cons: I reserved a compact SUV, but with code full size SUV, being sure that I will definitely have a SUV or crossover, but at the desk they told that they don't have SUV available and made me pick a compact sedan, telling me it is an upgrade and a full size sedan. It was very unpleasant experience, they gave no option. And then they said they will email me to get a SUV tomorrow but never did and when I called they were lecturing me about car types and to wait until 3pm. Car. Car was dirty inside

Pros: Thrifty representatives explains the rental process well when picking up the car. An agent went through a thorough check of the car’s condition with a torch light as it was dark in the evening. Car exteriors have bumps and scratches all over so make sure this is noted in the pick up inspection report or flag to the agent if he hasn’t written it down. Car drives well with no issues throughout the rental period. Car drop off was with ease.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 945.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Renters from the following country(ies): Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen must provide the following documents: International Driving Permit (IDP) in order to collect the car.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Visa Debit Card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card, MasterCard debit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted. When paying with cash, a debit/credit card issued on the main driver's name is required for security purposes.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Child seat (2-4 years of age), Wi-Fi.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Details are available from the rental company's reservation office.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
