Pros: I appreciated the overall responsiveness and support provided by TopCar Rentals. The team was helpful at the counter and communicated clearly during the rental. When the initial vehicle mismatch occurred, it was acknowledged and corrected by providing a suitable replacement. Assistance during the breakdown and towing process was also arranged promptly. Despite the challenges, the staff remained professional and cooperative, which made it easier to manage the situation during the trip.

Cons: There were a few areas where the service from TopCar Rentals could improve. The initial vehicle didn’t match the booking (8-seater instead of 9-seater), causing some delay. There were minor reliability concerns, including a parking brake issue. The tyre condition also appeared worn. Additionally, some restrictions (like unpaved road usage) were not clearly highlighted. Better communication and vehicle checks would improve the overall experience.

Pros: Member of the team at pick up was lovely and although car wasn’t ready she was apologetic and sorted as fast as she could.

Cons: The car had so many dents, scratches and bumps on it the overall appearance was quite poor which was disappointing. Also car wasn’t ready so we had to wait around 30 mins for it to be available for what we ordeeed.

Cons: On check-out, was told that the fuel tank was full and should be returned full. In fact, the tank was just over half full, although I returned it full. The contract showed no damage to the car, but I found a large dent on the driver side rear door which I photographed and reported on return of the car. We worried during the holiday that we would be charged for the damage, which should have been marked on the contract. In the event we were rightly not charged.

Pros: The company which our hire car was from was Top Car. On arrival, their desk was really available. After a little paper work and securing a deposit, the pick up of car was fast and efficient.

Cons: Car difficult to find at pick-up, because it was parked on a street rather than in a TopCar compound. On return, the agent would not inspect the car, and merely asked if it was damaged in any way, which it was not. I offered to show photos which I had taken of damage noticed at pick-up, but he was not interested in looking at them or inspecting the car with me. I trust that the damage deposit will be refunded fully.

Cons: Car was very poor by comparable standards with other providers - old, clunky navigation interface, Car Play didn't work, car rattled and was under powered fo the hills of Lanzarotte, bodywork already battered, over 50,000 km on the clock and seemed every bit it's age. Uncomfortable and not the model that was booked.

Pros: Quick and easy pick up, didnt try to sell me extra insurance (already have excess cover) Easy drop off...i had scraped the paintwork but this was dealt with efficiently.

Cons: Quite a few dents and scratches not noted on the paperwork - had to report them after picking up.

Pros: First car appeared to have a fault with a wheel. Called Top Car after a couple of days and they swapped it over no problem at all.

Cons: The car had a few marks on it but the staff just said they knew about the marks but nothing was noted on the paperwork. Not a problem in the end as the full deposit was paid back, but other rental companies have always noted any marks on the car hire paperwork for peace of mind. This one didn't.

Cons: Unhelpful and rude agent at desk who kept letting other customers return to the queue in front of me and gave no explanation as to why this was. There was only one person serving for the airport side of the queue, whereas there were 2 agents on the outside window with no one to serve. When I complained, the agent told me to go to the outside window in the same office where the 2 people were not serving anyone, but this was malicious I believe, as I would not be able to get back into the airport.

Pros: Bit of a queue when picking up but inside baggage was much easier. Outside looked alot busier. Car not the newest but worked well enough as a 7 seater.

Cons: Pick up: took a few mins to find person outside (not too bad). Drop off: moved inside & hard to find underground as no signs & they nearly by exit (but once did it was great)

Cons: You either pay €7 a day insurance or they take €700 from your credit card as a deposit, when they returned it I was £8.33 down on the deal, not huge, but not ideal either. Also had to wait an hour at Lanzarote airport to do the paperwork and pick up the car.

Pros: Damage to front of car, front bumper skirt eas dragging on ground and the under tray and bumper was loos and vibrated badly. The car also struggled to perform, on hills the engine picked and created tsil backs behind. Haven driven the sane car before there was a serios perforance issue.
