Pros: It's my third time renting from TopCar and I always had good experiences. Helpful, efficient staff and good vale for money.

Cons: Normally I would expect the rental car to have at least half a tank full (ideally full to full as it is the easiest to return with the same level). My rental car this time had so low fuel level that the fuel light was on - not only this was a little annoying as I had to get fuel straight away at 22.30 but it was basically impossible for me to return the car with such low level of fuel. I ended up returning it with more for which I am not entitled for any refund.

Absolutely disgusting service, and made me choose between wasting £70 or wasting what would probably have been about 2 hours of my holiday. Made the right choice but still feel totally aggrieved.

Cons: I had to ask them 10 times to sign the paper that care was damaged and the fuel was not full, they told me just take a photo you do not have to write it on the paper you have full insurance. Be carful first you sign the blank paper be or you see the car if not you will not get it, but you get one more paper so really look the car write all on that second paper and get there signature and take foto of the agreement. We did not have problems, they were friendly but you never know.

All lanes in Tenerife were marked car rental, but nothing was marked car return. so, if you pulled into the wrong lane, you had no access to returning the car and were stuck in a public lot (for which you had to pay, even if you were in for 10 seconds. ) Its stress no one needs in a foreign country and is easily remedied by better signage.

It had had a basic clean. During the rental period it ran out of wiper fluid, as that probably hadnt been filled up in a while. TopCar can take better care of its cars.

I returned yesterday and saw on my creditcard overview that my deposit is already planned to be returned.

Unfortunately upon return the hiring agent did not accept that this was the condition of the car. In future Top car should take photos, or at least walk each person to the car and catalogue, otherwise it will be a picture from the recipient which does not align with their audit history

Cons: Bit slow on pick up and outside condition of car was poor and not recorded on contract

Pros: The car was low mileage Toyota Corolla but it had debt and scratches on every panel, front and back bumper had bad scratches and had been ripped of the car at some point and there was a massive dent on the roof. Car wasn’t filled up with fuel to the fool tank aether.

Cons: It was easy and simple to collect the keys at the desk.

Pros: Very friendly and efficient staff.

Cons: The car had many dents and scratches on it, it took a long time to document all the marks on the car as only one had been recorded on our hire agreement sheet and there were about 30. I would have preferred a car in better condition.

Cons: Sul furgoncino 9 posti non funzionavano i 2 finestrini posteriori e la spia dei pneumatici sgonfi rimaneva sempre accesa, anche dopo aver gonfiato gli pneumatici che erano palesemente sgonfi.

Cons: The car was supposed to be a full size SUV, it didn’t fit two luggage’s. I don’t think it was a full size. The car seat was the worst for my one year old. They gave me a seat with missing parts, then they replaced it with a cheapest car seat ever. They didn’t know or didn’t bother showing us how to install it. The car door had an issue and their response was I had a full coverage, no problem. There were 6 people at the pick up location and none was helpful. Never from TooCar again.

Pros: No hassle. Pretty laid back about checking for damage. Which could of course go either way.

Cons: Actually took deposit then refunded, rather than earmarking then releasing the cash. Worked in my favour due to exchange rate change, but very annoying if it had gone the other way. Sales pitch at dsk on extra insurance, even though I had already covered all risks when booking.

Cons: I rented the car at the south airport and turned it in at the north airport. It was very confusing turning the car in. I did not see signs indicating where to return the car. I left the keys at the return desk but did not receive an inspection or receipt.

Pros: The original car we were given had a problem with the air conditioning. We returned to tenerife south and were immediately given a different car which worked well. The service was excellent

Cons: The car we got was not road worthy. We believe (from the dents and handling) that it had been in an accident and not properly repaired. In side was dirty and stained. The Topcar desk staff at the airport deployed super pushy and intimidating sales techniques and were rude when we did not buy extra insurance.
