Viaggiare at Bergamo Airport

Pros: Not a very flexible agency because of lack of enough vehicles

Pros: Friendly and efficient check-in and drop-off

Pros: Good, small car for driving

Cons: Route description back to the parking place would help at evening for a foreigner.

Cons: They took too long at the rental desk with some customers taking up to 20 mins to get their rental. Also wouldn't allow me to pick the car up 1 hour early.

Pros: The staff in the Airport were brilliant

Cons: At drop off, there were no English speakers, so we could not communicate about the return of the car.

Pros: Good clean car, very easy collection.

Cons: Tank not full nor was the windscreen washer.

Pros: Quick and efficient

Cons: Vehicle wasn't available and was downgraded but had to pay full price.

Pros: Simple and fast check-in at the airport, shuttle bus ok to the car park

Cons: The car type I booked was not the car I got. Although it was a brand new car with lots of security and infotainment equipment, it was derived from a comercial vehicle and less comfortable than a passengers vehicle.

Pros: Excellent all round. Fast, efficient, friendly, with zero issues and did not try to sell me extra insurance.

Pros: The agent at the pickup desk in BGY was excellent. He spoke good English, knew what he was doing and had a very calming presence - perfect for what can be a bit of a stressful experience

Pros: Very good servicece at the desk, problems with the credit card. But fixed easy and we could go on with our holliday.

Pros: The car itself was 100% functional and practically new.

Cons: The issues arose only at the Viaggiare rental location: The car was not at the terminal but at a parking lot requiring a bus ride. The car was changed from economy class to a Ford Turneo Connect. The new car was too big and unsuitable for Tuscan streets. The rental company rep at Bergamo airport tried to manipulate us emotionally, suggesting we take the car and start our vacation peacefully instead of causing problems. Viaggiare did not provide us with any documents regarding the car rental.

Cons: Desk at airport was closed at arrival time, should be open accordance to opening hours on website

Cons: Booked a in terminal car 200 euro more several days before. They offer in terminal.and shuttle options..chose in terminal.. this doesn't exist..lugging 2 car seats...2 small children...and 4 cases and 3 rucksacks. No trolley..into a regular bus queue ..absolute carnage..kids nearly stampled on.. had to wait for 3rd bus cause everyone jumped in our way. Chose interminal for a reason and paid extra for this reason.. WILL NEVER BOOK WITH DISCOVERCARS.COM..ill be sticking with regular supplier.

Pros: The service was great and all clear. They speak good English, they explain everything perfectly. The drop off was really easy.

Cons: The process to pick up the car, fill in forms could go a bit more efficient. They still work on papers, takes more time.

Pros: Viaggiare is a relatively small car rental. The personnel I met had a way above standard attention to their customers (me as well as others renting the same day). A problem solving attitude and kindness that makes me happy to come back. Also returning the car has been exceptionally good with a lot of support and patience. Cars are in good order and clean.

Cons: I delivered the car with the right amount of diesel plus a little more and they have charged 31 euros service fee! That’s completely unacceptable!

Pros: The girl that receive us at the airport is great.

Cons: The guy at the parking is an idiot.

Cons: Water was poured into the washer tank in January. We went skiing. It was up to -10. Everything was frozen, both the tank and the tubes. It was dangerous to drive in the snow without a window cleaner. The rubber was summer. We were answered to our claim: "You have to warn me where you're going." But they didn't ask us... it's our business where we're going. The car should be ready!!!

Cons: Booked and paid for 5 doors compact car but was given 3 doors small car. Paid for in terminal pick up but was asked to pick the car from Rental car parking area. Booked an automatic transmission car, and was offered a manual transmission car by the agent. Arrived at the dest at 0845, the desk was still closed with 2 customers in the queue waiting, the agent arrived at 0920 am, he was too slow, i took me till 1050am to finish the paper work.

Pros: Changed the contract, but put second driver free of charge.

Cons: Did not read small print - you can't put different name other than on the credit card.

Pros: The car was in good condition and the rep at the airport was very efficient.

Cons: The car was very underpowered. I struggled to pull away safely and getting up hills was extremely difficult.

Cons: Organising collection of the car was extremely slow. It was approximately an hour. The car had not been cleaned from the previous rental and when we returned the car the rental employees complained about the cleanliness of the car! I explained that the car was filthy when we collected the car. They were uninterested. They asked whether we had been through a desert storm and wouldn’t look at the photos I’d taken at collection.

Pros: The company point is in the terminal. The personnel are nice and kind. Not need to wash a car prior return.

Cons: I booked a subcompact crossover SUV (Škoda Kamiq) but received a compact car (Opel Astra). They are not in the same class, as the Škoda Kamiq is larger. I've asked to stay for an additional 30 minutes, and I paid a 60 euro fee for it. It's not possible to drive to another country.

Pros: Viaggiare would not rent me the car I booked because I did not have credit card. They refused to accept VISA or cash, so I hired a car from another form in the airport. I will make a point of never using this car hire form again.

Cons: The agent was not very pleassant and tried to change the contract to something seven times more expensive.

Cons: When they give you the car, they don't have time to show you. Any scratches the give you car and go because of parking Limite And when you drop the car, no one available to receive the car. You leave the car to the open parking far away from the airport. And Leave the key to the airport counter. and they don't give you any receipt. Very confusing.

Cons: Car offered was nothing like advertised so had to swap but this was still a poor option and essentially left with no choice. Wait was too long for car so had to accept not washed or valeted Car seemed several years old and in tired condition

Pros: At the desk at the time of rental, there was no real queue and they were efficient.

Cons: Car unclean outside but clean inside. The positive ends here. Car developed a fault with rear brakes and potentially dangerous to drive on day 3. Car was recovered by recovery vehicle by third party who Viaggiare refer you to. Viaggiare were terrible, did not provide a Viaggiare replacement car or offer to help in any way at any point. Had the nerve to ask why I didn't return the car at the end of the rental period on day 8. Totally disorganised, will never use again.

Pros: The car was clean and dammages were reported in a list beforehand

Cons: Only payment is accepted by credit card, debit cards are not accepted. Whilst during the booking process it was indicated that debit visa cards were also accepted. I was almost incurred a 50 euro charge by the company for a name change on the invoice (WTH??). Second, the employees at the desk were not very friendly. Inside the airport was still ok. At return of the car the employee receiving the key was extremely rude. Couldn't answer a single question where to give back the car key full carpar

Cons: Hit with an extortionate price for the use of a debit card (almost double the price mentioned in your small print), car had a fault during the hire and there was no response from the recovery number provided by Viaggiare. We were lucky to have had someone on hand to help, otherwise we would have been stuck. Car was dirty, low pressure on tyres, no coolant in the car, and no parking disc provided. Will providing both Discover Cars and Viaggiare with bad reviews and warding people away.

When returning car, I filled up in the last station, but only could put 2 ltr of fuel (because I filled up a day before) and the fuel needle did not raise up (that happens with new cars because amount of fuel is too small). When returning the car they adviced to write to whattsapp number about this issue (whatsapp didn't work) so I wrote email again - no response. I was still charged 27 eur in the end..
