Vivarent at Naples Airport

Pros: Welcoming, easy to follow

Pros: I got what I expected.

Pros: the car was in perfect condition, we got the requested model

Cons: zero transparency about the price and additional fees, agent had poor english language skills

Cons: They cancelled our reservation while we were traveling and left us with no car.

Cons: The longest pick-up we had ever

Cons: Car wasn't available, even after paying the deposit. The next available option was x15 price (!) agreed at booking before arrival.

Pros: There was no service provided.

Cons: Vivarent failed to provide me with a car that I had booked 3 weeks prior, without informing me that they could not meet the agreement. I had to rent with an alternative company on the spot, who charged me the same amount of money as the original booking for a smaller car that was a manual, when I had requested an automatic. Avoid Vivarent at all costs!

Pros: Air con wasn’t working but apart from that all good.

Pros: I would say overall good and as expected from a smaller company

Cons: The return of the car, and prevoius checkup of it before we got it. It should not be our responsibility to check for prevoius damages

Pros: The service was professional (all papers and explanations about conditions) and polite

Cons: They didn't know about the model of the car I expect to receive. But finally, I have received exact the car/model I had ordered.

Pros: The Vivarent staff member we dropped the car off to in Rome was very helpful and friendly.

Cons: The Vivarent staff member in Naples was rude, abrupt and had zero customer service skills. It felt like he was simply there to cash our payment, and despite having troubles, he washed his hands of us as soon as the payment was made. Incredibly disappointing.

Pros: Friendly and simple process.

Cons: The car I intended to rent was not as published, and the car I ended up with, I believe, was actually published at a cheaper rate (had I originally opted for that model). Small detail, would still use the company again!

Cons: Hard to find off airport pick up. We had no phone, so couldn’t call for courtesy bus. Ended up walking 1km w luggage to site

Cons: On arrival the representative was very unhelpful, and rude. I

Pros: There was damage to the car but nothing to bad

Pros: Car was really dirty on the outside but possibly due to the dust from the mountains and had no screen wash in it at all. My 5 year old found some medication wedged down back seat (7seater) but besides that the car was comfortable.

Cons: Very chatty staff, interested in where you were coming from. Paperwork was straight forward.

Pros: Very efficient, helpful and friendly. Arranged taxi for us to get to Napoli Centrale station when we dropped off the car - despite being very busy

Pros: Drop off was efficient and airport shuttle driver was good both ways.

Cons: It was not clear when booking that there would be a 150€ fee for paying with a bank card. Had I known this, I would have brought a different card (the contract stated that bank cards were accepted, it did not mention the fee). Check in was made slower by the fact there wasn’t even an employee present when we arrived (at 10am, the scheduled time). He tried to give us a different class of car which did not meet our needs. After complaining, I got the car I originally booked.

Pros: For the price the cars were in good shape. The staff members were helpfull, and tried to do everything to correct a bad situation.

Cons: I booked an automatic car, but it had a flat tyre. At the location they only had manual options. I could deal with it, but for someone, who cannot drive a “stick” could be a really akward situation.

Pros: They contacted me before the rental in Whatsapp and all the info was in english.

Cons: They were bit slow and felt really uniterested about the whole thing. The car didnt have navi and was underperforming. Also there were road tolls out of which there were no guidance provided.

Cons: Difficult to find the shuttle bus on leaving the airport. The designated pickup area is large and the bus doesn't have Vivarent prominently displayed.

Cons: I had to provide all my personal details again … after doing so when making a booking via the website.

Pros: The team at Vivarent were very helpful over-all. They explained everything in detail and the process was smooth.

Cons: Just ensure you let them know if you need an early shuttle. We forgot to remind them that we required the shuttle at 8am (when they opened). They were even great and supplied a cab free of charge, as the shuttle driver, once called was running late or too far away to get us to the airport on time.

Cons: it was not very clear what I have paid as a full insurance with discover cars and what I would have to pay to vivarent in case of an accident. In addition , as driving in Naples is very challenging, I think a package that includes everything from theft to scratches would eliminate stress levels by far.

Cons: I rented a car that would meet my requirements on the trip. They did not deliver the vehicle I wanted and told me I would receive a replacement vehicle corresponding to the original I ordered. The vehicle they offered was not even close to being similar to the one I ordered, but they claimed it was of the same rental grade - something I could not verify and I am sure it is not true and this is as a result of the replacement vehicle they offered me - a FIAM PANDA instead of a Toyota Aygo X. Cons: The car was given very dirty on the outside and average on the inside, also the onboard computer was indicating that the car needed to have an oil change but when I spoke to the agent they just said to proceed that way although I was concerned about it and asked if the vehicle could be changed they just neglected it. I also had to ask them 4 times and follow up in order to receive the rental invoice which included a mistake and has not been modified yet. The shuttle driver was very unhelpful.

Cons: We spent so much time until the gentleman that was in the reception full up the papers that was a bit annoyed. Also in the check in the guys there weren’t speaking to us but only between them in Italian. Something that we found impolite
