Cons: We booked a car but when my husband picked it up the lady told him it was’t good enough for the mountains?so she arranged an other car and insurance it was €500,— more but that price we found out when is was booked off the creditcard in holland we call that oplichting! The car needed service, kept telling us that and the battery off the car needed to be replaced, they knew but the money was more important.

Cons: Scam on the insurance as stated above about DiscoverCars and scammed me at the end trying to bill me $504.09 for front bumper damage that was done n the car before I picked it up. Both companies are scammers.

Pros: The exact car as promised (Fiat 500 cabrio) instead of similar. Very friendly staff at pickup and dropoff, easy to find. They offered some extra insurance but did not press the matter when declined. Some prior damages but a fun driving experience.

Pros: The staff were great.

Cons: Had to pay £200 more that originally quoted which was not very fair. We were told we had a Fiat 500 but it was a panda. I specifically asked for a Fiat 500. Told the car had to be full to full but when we got int he car it was only ½ full. I filled it up when we took it back which cost me €35 and when we got back the guy said oh you could have just left it!!!

Cons: WheeGo did not honour price decided by DiscoverCars.com. Total cost to me confirmed by DiscoverCars.com was $474.06 including full coverage for a Fiat500. When I reached Funchal and went to WheeGo to pick up the car I was told $474.06 is the cost to reserve the car and actual price including full coverage will be approx €900 with full coverage. Plus they didn’t have Fiat500 that I booked. So I ended up paying $1500 for a MiniCooper. Avoid WheeGo, use Enterprise or other big rental companies.

Cons: Intentamos contactar telefónicamente y la respuesta automática no se oye. No conseguimos atención telefónica personalizada. En la terminal, la compañía no está anunciada y otros operadores no la conocen. En el boucher no figura donde hay que dirigirse. Tuvimos que esperar casi una hora para que nos dieran el coche. Lo acababan de limpiar y las alfombrillas estaban mojadas, con lo qeu todo lo que se apoyó en el suelo del coche, se mojó. La carrocería del coche presentaba varios desperfectos.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1400.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Environmental charge, Free modifications.
Rate excludes
You’ll be charged a service fee of 1.85 EUR per day up to a maximum of 18.50 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 26 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
Credit card must be valid after rental period for at least 60 days.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.

Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
