YesDrive Car Rentals at Hobart Airport

Pros: Just pick up and go. Not much impressive

Cons: Pick up service from Airport to rental office. We waited for 30 mins outside cold area, ringed several times but no answered. Even answered, they said they were arranging but no one is coming until 30 mins later, which the driver picked up total 4 of the rental customers with limited luggage space. Also waited some time for the rental office staff to started sending us back to Hobart Airport, which is about 15 mins already. Also saw customers who were chilled waiting for the pick up to office

Pros: 10/10. Right from the beginning when we were met at the airport, the service was excellent. The process too was smooth and easy from pick up to drop off. The car itself was great. Up to date, Drove beautifully, good economy. Great value.

Cons: Yesdrive is not at terminal so u need to call them up for transfer. The tel no on confirmation wasnt valid, had to google n fortunately someone picked up my call. Phone booth at terminal is foc for local calls - fyi. Not every tourist has a phone to make calls. Car was new but wasnt really clean n there was no foot mat so we had a hard time dusting out sand/soil before returning. Car wiper also ran out of water. Car fuel efficiency was ok, had an upgrade to Outlander from Asx.

Cons: it was a bit inconvenient to pick up the car as it wasn't in the airport, it also took a while to get the paperwork done (or queueing), it was quite late at night when we landed.

Pros: From the time I arrived at the agency everything was great. The staff was friendly and efficient and we got the car we expected and it even was almost new.

Cons: The only way to arrange the transfer from the airport to the rental agency was by phone call. Unfortunately my international calling plan did not work. I did find a kind stranger who called for me, but it would be nice to have a text communication option or a dedicated phone at the arrival terminal for all of the off-site cat rental agencies.

They also helped us when we returned the vehicle to sort out the issue we had with having to return the car early.

Ultimately Yes Drive did help us and we were satisfied with the end result but it took much time and confusion. In future I would go direct to Yes Direct

In the fine print I know but I felt mislead that you would have to really search to realise this, being that it pops up on the webpage when you book. Don’t know if I’d book again due to this as I had to take two insurance policies that ended up being well over 500.

Pros: I had great experience with YesDrive Car Rentals. They have very good customer service, very friendly and helpful staff. At the end of my trip I found out that my flight got canceled and next flight is next day. I asked the agent if he can help us in anyway. He waited at the airport for us until we had confirmation of the flight and gave us the same car until next day. I could not ask for more. 😄
