Cons: I originally booked a Toyota Corolla, but when I arrived to pick it up, the service agent informed me that the only available option was an old Toyota Aqua. This vehicle lacked a proper music system—no Bluetooth, and even the USB connection didn't work. Our entire trip was disappointing as we were forced to play music through our phones. The customer service was also subpar, with staff who could barely communicate in English. I’m extremely dissatisfied and won’t be booking with them again.

Cons: When I checked in the reservation agent fixed my rental dates to reflect returning on the 26th, not the 28th. I also got in a day late, which was not the agencies fault. When I returned the car on the 26th they said I had to pay until the 28th, which is not what I was told when I picked up the rental. I would like this fixed and have not been able to reach anyone.

The car makes rattling noise when the road is bumpy. Parents can’t stop sneezing when aircon is on, feel like aircon filter has not changed for a while. We paid for 9 days but returned the car within 3 days, don’t feel safe to drive it.

I refused to use the van unless new tyres replaced they changed front one not back. Went to Milford Sounds 11 people in the car and breaks got so hot and stopped working. Nearly missed an accident. I reckon feel needs to be audited. I will never hire a vehicle from this company again will not recommend any one.

The middle seatbelt would lock up so it was really annoying and inconvenient for the middle passenger. The front desk person was rude and argumentative during check in. He didn’t understand we wanted only TWO drivers in one vehicle and ONE driver in the other- he tried to charge us a surcharge for a ‘third’ driver.

Cons: Attendants were unresponsive when we arrived. When booking we were under the impression ww we’re getting a Mazda compact SUV which was stated on the booking form. We ended up with the oldest Toyota hybrid, which the door seals were loose, radio antenna was poor, USB port didn’t play music, so just imagine our experience on a 6 hour drive to Christchurch. When returning the car, we couldn’t have wanted to do it any faster, the attendants didn’t even greet us, I honestly wanted to get out of there

Cons: We’re note told of broker fee ,the car was dirty ,had to insist on replacing rear tyre as it was bald and unroadworthy ,staff unwilling to help and very hard to understand at Yes rentals

Cons: The staff running Yes Rentals were Asian and could not speak clear English therefore the rental arrangement was very hard.

Pros: They were helpful in providing me with an alternative option to pay via eftpos card instead of visa which was great. I was able to extend my rental without any hassle.

Cons: The lady at the counter lacked customer service skills, not welcoming at all, not even a smile - we found that bit rude and pretty disappointing.

Cons: The staff were not very communicative or friendly - if I was an overseas tourist I'd like a more welcoming arrival and departure - you could be the first kiwis our visitors are dealing with and you should be making a better first impression. Some feedback on car return (we made sure ours was vacuumed an wiped down) would have been a nicer departure!

They didn't understand that I was after roadside assist in case of breakdown on our long driving holiday. They got short with me. Our car broke down less than an hour later. The mechanic they sent couldn't speak English. We insisted on a replacement car but they weren't happy about it. Second car was better (fewer kms), though dirty

Pros: My car warms not ready and they tried to give me a smaller car with hybrid engine that i do not need.

Cons: The car provided was very old, the steering wheel vibrated badly while driving, and the windshield was not cleaned because the window wipers were worn out. If it rained while driving, life could be endangered.

Cons: The representatives could hardly speak English, they refused my dutch liscence which I have been using everywhere, australia, South Africa, and even here. They made a big hassle about it and made me pay for a lisence translation even though part of my lisence is in English. They never asked for the translation just for proof of payment for the translation, which seems very odd to me

Pros: The car I specifically requested is Masada but there is no Masada car in the car rent place even it is showing on your website.And we changed to cheap option Aqua with same cost. The rental agency you informed us the insurance from your company is useless and we have to purchase the one from their company and get refund back from your company anytime. However we can not get refund when we calling you and the service agent on the phone is terrible.

Pros: Great experience altogether. Was very nervous having never rented from Yes before & having seen the location on Google Maps Street View, but pickup was smooth & without surprises, and so was the drop off. The little van between the airport & their location was prompt & efficient.

We were already short on time but then there was an issue with their car so there was a delay in them boarding the shuttle
