Cons: All the cars on the lot are super old and I believe the one I got had the highest miles of them all. This car had an odometer reading of about 150000 kms and the media system was as good as non existent. Speakers never worked and the system was ancient and was impossible to do anything with it. I’m glad the car was at least in running condition driving wise.

Cons: I originally booked a Toyota Corolla, but when I arrived to pick it up, the service agent informed me that the only available option was an old Toyota Aqua. This vehicle lacked a proper music system—no Bluetooth, and even the USB connection didn't work. Our entire trip was disappointing as we were forced to play music through our phones. The customer service was also subpar, with staff who could barely communicate in English. I’m extremely dissatisfied and won’t be booking with them again.

Cons: When I checked in the reservation agent fixed my rental dates to reflect returning on the 26th, not the 28th. I also got in a day late, which was not the agencies fault. I refused to use the van unless new tyres replaced they changed front one not back. Went to Milford Sounds 11 people in the car and breaks got so hot and stopped working. Nearly missed an accident. I reckon feel needs to be audited. I will never hire a vehicle from this company again will not recommend any one.

Cons: No useful drop-off arrangement. Car was old and tatty. I don't expect direct service outside of office hours but some guidance on how to call a local taxi, a working support tel No would be good. All this was in the semi dark outside empty depot.

Cons: The car was old, steering wheel vibrated on hitting 90km which is below the speed limit in NZ, wipers not working properly.

Cons: I did not like the age of the car. The images online are all the same. The only indication of age was in the text reading “first edition”. The car is too old and should be retired from rental fleet.

Cons: YES car rentals need to improve on being friendly and helpful. It was minimal customer service. A smile and hello would be nice, along with instructions on what was happening (we didn’t know what was going on while waiting for our car- an update would’ve been nice). We got no greeting on our pick up from the airport, however the woman who dropped us off was actually friendly and have us a smile.

Pros: Bad service and blamed the crack in the windscreen on me. Yet it had chips when we picked it up.

Cons: This was the worst rental we have ever had. The car was not completely clean, the car had a very annoying rattle and that was probably because it had 81100 kms on the speedometer, there were terrible stains on the seats and overall the car was very uncomfortable. The man at the reservation desk was rude and his English was very hard to understand. We will not recommend YES cars.

Pros: The service was very good. Transfers to and from the airport were quick. Completing the paperwork was also easy.

Cons: Attendants were unresponsive when we arrived. When booking we were under the impression ww we’re getting a Mazda compact SUV which was stated on the booking form. We ended up with the oldest Toyota hybrid, which the door seals were loose, radio antenna was poor, USB port didn’t play music, so just imagine our experience on a 6 hour drive to Christchurch. When returning the car, we couldn’t have wanted to do it any faster, the attendants didn’t even greet us, I honestly wanted to get out of there

Cons: We’re note told of broker fee ,the car was dirty ,had to insist on replacing rear tyre as it was bald and unroadworthy ,staff unwilling to help and very hard to understand at Yes rentals

Cons: The staff running Yes Rentals were Asian and could not speak clear English therefore the rental arrangement was very hard.

Pros: They were helpful in providing me with an alternative option to pay via eftpos card instead of visa which was great. I was able to extend my rental without any hassle.

Cons: The staff were not very communicative or friendly - if I was an overseas tourist I'd like a more welcoming arrival and departure - you could be the first kiwis our visitors are dealing with and you should be making a better first impression. Some feedback on car return (we made sure ours was vacuumed an wiped down) would have been a nicer departure!

They didn't understand that I was after roadside assist in case of breakdown on our long driving holiday. They got short with me. Our car broke down less than an hour later.
