Pros: This location has helpful and friendly staff. I have rented with York in other cities before so I went with them again in FLL, and they did not disappoint. They have an amazing customer service both at the location and over the phone, they are very helpful and explained the process in detail. They really take customers as their priority which is refreshing and great. I will continue to rent with them

Cons: Unfortunately the policy they had for Florida residents did not include unlimited miles. This is not necessarily their fault as the 3rd party company, discovercars, did not disclose in their policy what were York Car Rental's policy until after the booking

Cons: Long arduous process - it took 2 hours to pick up the car. Sales reps took long and were only into upselling. Insurance papers were not accepted. Extremely rude sales people, that would make faces behind other customers’ backs as soon as they turned around to leave. Just overall ridiculous. Would not recommend and will never use them again. Stick to the main car rental agencies, Ive never had any issues and I travel all around the world! They operate under various name: next car, york car etc

Cons: I didn't like that I showed up after already paying in full and finding out they didn't take my insurance and wouldn't let me leave until I paid another $175 to get the rental I also didn't like that when I asked for a SunPass they determined I didn't need one which then screwed me TimeWise because I had to take a different route anywhere I needed to go with double in time. I did not like that I had to wait over an hour for them to figure out what type of car I would get.

Cons: Flight was delayed and I couldn't pick up the car until the next day because the office closes at 9pm. I spoke to a rep and said my reservation would be honored and to come in the morning to pick up a vehicle. Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 2805.00 - € 4675.00), Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Mileage policy
For local renters mileage is limited to 50 miles per day.
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional mile.
A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of USA - Florida.

For all customers, except local renters the mileage is unlimited.
Details are available at the car rental company's reservation office.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 79 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: Diners, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Crossing country/state borders is not allowed.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Toll device.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 45 minutes.
