The country is beautiful. Driving easy even with roads being bendy in areas. Other drivers are good - in a month there was only 5 times when we noted poor driving standards.

We had a memorable trip, staying at Lake Taupo for our five day break.
Brilliant area which is rich in outdoor activities, restaurants and amenities. Very clean and everything we did and ate, was of a high standard.

NZ can only be seen properly by using car. Outside the two big cities public transport is more or less non existent. We were able to see all the main sights of North Island using the hire car. Warning...in rural areas roads are tricky and local driving is often bad
