TopCar at Lanzarote Airport

Pros: That it was in the terminal

Cons: I called them on the day of drop off (10 am) to ask about which car park to return the vehicle but nobody answered. I can't imagine what I would have done if I had been for an accident. The vehicle was larger than the one I requested 3 months prior to my arrival and they weren't available to change it.

Pros: Reasonable value for money, but the car did not reflect what was booked. A Fiat Panda without air conditioning versus the Fiat 500 with air conditioning which was booked

Cons: Lengthy queue to obtain documents and keys. Car did not have air conditioning although the reservation was specifically for a car with air conditioning. The queue was too long to go back and request an alternative after a long flight.

Pros: Price and convenient

Cons: No access to office inside baggage reclaim, despite office there with 3 staff, would only serve me from the other side.

Pros: Very little waiting, efficient all round

Cons: A wait to pick up as only one agent dealing with three customers waiting.

Pros: A really nice clean car, got a better vehicle than expected. Extremely happy.

Cons: Even though we had purchased the full insurance online we were still pushed to take out more cover at the pick up desk

Pros: At the airport so convenient

Cons: Take a €900 deposit actually off your credit card but put it back after on return of car.

Pros: Car , value for money and service from the staff

Cons: Perhaps the car seat could be a bit better and pre installed in the car on arrival

Pros: Simple and easy to arrange. Car was as expected.

Cons: I thought the rental of the child seat was pretty expensive.

Cons: I reserved hire car, but had to queue 45mins on arrival at the airport.

Pros: Good value. The car was clean and easy to drive.

Cons: I had booked a 7 seater car. The agent did not tell me that they didn't have any 7 seater cars available and gave me a 5 seater without saying anything. When I questioned this they said they had given me a 'free booster'. I said this does not make up the difference in price as I had booked a higher class of car. Finding the agent who was actually providing the rental took a while. The queue was long and the agents took a long time to get through people.

Cons: Discover Cars deceives you into buying insurance that (you only find out later) is not from the car rental but from them. Therefore, when you pick up your car the car rental company makes you get their insurance (or leave a 900 deposit). Thus you end up paying double insurance.

Pros: Quick and efficient

Cons: General condition of the car wasn't great.

Cons: We were provided wrong information about which bay the car was parked in. Car was also supplied with a tyre pressure warning indicator on and tyre was completely flat by next morning. Took over 5 hours to supply a replacement car after initially being advised it would take 60-90 minutes. We were therefore stuck in the villa for this period with 2 children. Not a great start to holiday

Cons: Booked as discover cars so wasn’t looking for a top car desk on arrival

Cons: Longue file d attente pour prendre la voiture ( aeoroport ) Parking aeroport mal indiqué quand on rend la voiture ( au moins la nuit …: top car ecrit en vert, en petit, sur un panneau non eclairé)

Pros: Collect / drop off in terminal

Cons: The car was a disgrace. It displayed a ‘service required’ light, and drove as if there was no suspension in the vehicle. I feared for my safety in the car and consequently did NO touring, using the vehicle only for hotel transfers. Extremely disappointed in this vehicle

Pros: Very reasonable very efficient. Car was spotless and in good condition. Couldn't fault them

Pros: The car model I paid for I actually got so was extremely pleased. The cost was very competitive and the service was excellent. Cannot fault. I also paid a deposit which was refunded within 2 days so again, extremely pleased with their service.

Pros: They were quick and efficient- they was no hard sell for extra cover which I particularly hate when renting a car.

Cons: Windows in the car were very dirty on the inside on collection, car had bumps and scratches all over after c9k KM.

Pros: This is the best experience I have had with car rental abroad. I would recommend it and will use it again in the future.

Cons: I would have liked somebody to have checked the car with me as there were several dings and scratches which I had to photograph so as there was no comeback on me for having caused them especially as I had left a 500 euro deposit

Pros: Clear and easy not trying to rip off customers like other companies

Cons: We went to the kiosk in the carpark, which wasn’t manned so had to go back down to the main dest in arrivals.

Pros: Fast and efficient pickup, great car with good spec - some minor damage on collection but just cosmetic. Really easy to drop off - navigate straight to the drop off area and walk over into the terminal

Cons: Car was too big for the islands roads. Reckon the bearings were gone, oil warning light came on and had an issue twice trying to go uphill from a standing start. Booked a volkswagen t Cross and got an old model hyundia tucsan.

Pros: The actual car was a nice easy to drive car, it was Relatively new .

Cons: We were told it was a full to full deal but car was only quarter full when we received it. We took photos and had to go back into terminal to let them know.

Pros: Quick friendly service. Easy to locate and return the car. Exactly what you need on your holiday! And it was cheap!

Cons: Actually taking the security deposit from my card when I paid for the car. Other companies I have used have not done this. It resulted in me paying £4.60 more than the price on my booking. Yes, it's a small amount but it's the principle of the matter.

Pros: The service and speed of it all was fine.

Cons: The car was terrible, it drove like every bit of the engine needed replacing! And I'm still waiting for my security deposit refund. It was supposed to be taken as a hold, but it was taken as a payment.

Cons: 1. topcar gave me a death trap. No tread on outside tyre walls (I have photographs). 2. topcar clearly dont check the cars over as I would never been given this car. The tyres dont end up like this overnight. 3. Topcar were totally dismissive of this when I returned the car. I will be making an official complaint.

Cons: We hired two cars, in one car the engine was very weak and struggled with the hills, the air con was also quite poor

Pros: easy to use, friendly staff car was clean tidy and reliable, no pressure to upgrade or have added extras.

Cons: Pick up was a bit slow, although albeit other customers not having documentation or being prepared. Some customers to over 45 mins my process was done in 25 minutes, just goes to show if people have the correct documents how quick the process can be.

Pros: So easy. No hard sell for extras. No haggling on return.

Cons: left totally to own devices when collecting the car (having been given the keys at the rental desk) and as such did not know if the few dents and scratches were already recorded. Spent five minutes checking and photographing the car (just in case), but in actual fact no quibble when returned so previous damage must have already been documented.
