Abruzzo is a fabulous area. Stunning beaches, good food and lovely people. Recommend Hotel Mion and Sanio restaurant in Silvi Marina, Carmine Fish restaurant in Loreto Aprutino and Tre Piatti meat restaurant also Loreto. La Locanda restaurant in Civitella Casanova and the communal outdoor swimming pool in Civitella Casanova is extremely well run.

Small airport, so easy to find hirecar desk and easy to find car (left out of building). Also relatively quite road when leaving the airport, so takes the stress anyway from being in a new car on the wrong side of the road.
