Many flights to Palm Beach Airport operate only during the winter season bringing northern residents to the area for the sunny, warm weather. Palm Beach Airport is about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) southwest of West Palm Beach and 70 miles (112.6 km) from Miami. James L. Turnage Boulevard, Australian Avenue, and 1st Street are the main roads connecting the airport to West Palm Beach.

Car rental desks

National, Sixt, Dollar, and Thrifty have desks in the baggage claim area in the arrivals section of the airport. Ace (which is serviced by Datura Auto Rentals) and Easirent are located away from the airport and provide shuttles to their respective locations.

You’ll find numerous restaurants, bars, fast food outlets, and cafeterias. There are many stores, including gift shops, newsstands, and golf shops, most of which are located on level 2. There are also several ATMs, a currency exchange, three nearby hotels, baby changing facilities, a children’s play area, a travel service center, and a full-service spa. Nearest gas station

A Mobil station on Belvedere Road is one of the most convenient stations for renters seeking to fill up prior to returning their cars to those companies located at the airport. A BP station and a Shell station can also be found along Belvedere Road when approaching the airport.

If returning a rental car to Easirent’s location, then a pair of stations (Sunoco and West Palm Gas) along Southern Blvd. between Lake Ave. and Parker Ave. are probably the best solution. If using I -95, you would have to travel east towards the coast once exiting to reach these stations.

Finally, if returning a car to Datura Auto Rentals (for those using Ace), a Citgo station on Belvedere Road are the best to use. The Chevron station at the corner of Belvedere Road and S. Dixie Highway is the closes station, but its prices are usually significantly higher than that of the previously mentioned stations.
