We rented a car that ended up having a transmission problem. Luckily we didn’t drive very far before recognizing the issue and went back to the rental car company. They were very apologetic and called in another bigger car for us. We didn’t have to wait too long for it either. They showed us a place to grab lunch while we waited and then we were on our way. Highly recommend!!!

We did a grand tour of Portugal from top to bottom and saw many beautiful places. The Portuguese people are very nice and accommodating. We visited the palaces in Sintra, took boat rides in Porto, the Douro valley and in Lagos to see the grottoes. We also visited the back country in the medieval villages of Monsanto, Marvão and Evora. We had a fabulous time.

Renting a car in Sintra definitely makes moving around easier. On the map everything looks close, but the distances are long and not all routes are walkable.
