- Vatican City. - Colosseo. Even before Christianity, Rome was already an imperial city and the centre of an empire. At the heart of it all was the Coliseum, an amphitheatre and a whole district that also includes such world-famous sites like the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. - Baths of Diocletian. In addition to politics, war-making, trade, and worshipping of gods, visiting the public baths was an important part of an ancient Roman’s life. Named after the Roman emperor who ruled at the time, this was one of the most famous — and certainly the largest — bath complexes in the empire. Nowadays a national museum open to tourists, it contains not only the ruins of the baths themselves, but also preserved frescoes, statuettes, and other artefacts.
- National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. Rome has a true wealth of high-quality museums, and many of them boast collections of Ancient Roman, medieval, and Renaissance art. Equally impressive, however, is the main modern art museum, considered to be one of the best of its kind in Europe. The museum houses and displays works of such world-class artists as de Chirico, Monet, van Gogh, and Pollock.

We bought a property 17 years ago in Capodimonte, Lake Bolsena, so we spent our time there (7weeks). We rent cars every year usually all of May and part of June, then again for all of September and part of October, sometimes for shorter periods in Nov & March. What would make it better for us and surely better business for you is if we could get a good price to hire 1 car for all 7 weeks. At the moment the price is better to hire 3 cars in the 7 weeks for 2 or 3 weeks at a time and drop off and pick up new rental cars, sometimes via different rental companies.

Outstanding service and vastly superior to the experiences I have had repeatedly when using other competitors in the car rental business out of Fiumicino airport. The Centauro staff were unfailingly courteous, charming, efficient and eager to do their best. I could not recommend them more highly. The car was superb - not a single fault on any score - sipped diesel as if it were a 120-year old Single Malt - and was absurdly good value for money. As to where I went: I covered nearly 1000 utterly glorious miles of what is surely the most glorious and ravishing country on earth, but which ones they were shall remain my secret forever.
