Car Hire at Ponta Delgada Airport

Airport travel guide

Get your hire car at Ponta Delgada Airport! Then take a drive around São Miguel Island and check out some landmarks and attractions. Go to the Fumas hot springs and visit the Gorreana Tea Factory. Make sure you take the time to explore Lagoa de Fogo—the volcanic landscapes and crater lakes have an otherworldly quality.

The Azores is famous for its beaches, and rightfully so. You won’t have any trouble finding a special spot to enjoy. Drive to the beautifully green Sete Cidades area. Visit the local markets to buy fresh fruits and Mercado do Peixe for fresh seafood. As you’re driving around, you’ll come across a lot of smaller restaurants and taverns seemingly in the middle of nowhere, and local bars are a great place to enjoy a live concert.
